Plump Lake is a beautiful, mature 4.5-acre gravel pit, home to around 150 carp to over 46lb. The lake is designed for up to 4 anglers, with its long, narrow shape allowing five well-designed single swims to sit along one bank, while the facilities are conveniently located centrally behind you.

We think Plump Lake is ideal for small groups looking for an exclusive lake experience, although you are also very welcome to book individual spaces. There is plenty of room to relax and socialise, with the covered dining and BBQ area adding to the experience.

Overhanging trees, margins and a varied lake bed create an interesting challenge, rewarding anglers that spend some time to find the hotspots.

Set in the heart of the Pays de la Loire region of northwestern France, the lake is just a 2hr 20 drive from the port of Caen. You are also just a few minutes from local shops, restaurants and amenities, making Plump Lake a particularly convenient setting for carp fishing holidays in France.

"After 20 years of passionate carp fishing in France, a workplace accident and the loss of my job completely changed our lives. With strength and determination, I decided to turn this difficult experience into a unique opportunity: turning my passion into my new profession. In 2020, our family took the plunge and acquired this beautiful estate. Determined to offer our guests the best possible experience, we dedicated three full years to preparing and developing the site. The lake officially opened for carp fishing in May 2023, following the completion of all the work required to welcome anglers in the best possible conditions. Today, we are extremely proud of what we have created and look forward to sharing our vision of carp fishing with you."
