Details of your catches:

11 carp caught and approx 5 lost due to snags and weed

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom baits or pop ups 10yds from snags to give a fighting chance

Were the facilities what you expected?

Excellent but basic facilities, kept extremely clean

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Constant the owner sorted bait with 2 days notice and gave good advice on spots for the carp. Due to being a new venue and recent restocking the majority of the fish were 12-15lb but caught to 37.5lb common. Just missed out on the bigger ones. Plenty of runs and can be challenging due to islands and snags. Would definitely pick this to open water fishing though as lots of features

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Definitely and have

General Comments:

Expect plenty of runs with a chance of some big fish. Few crayfish but simple venue to fish.

Details of your catches:

*24 hours fished only* 9 takes - 7 carp landed including a 41lb common and a 39lb mirror.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing tight to the margin snags with 40ft 60lb snag leaders, braided mainline and very strong end tackle to avoid cut offs (no fish lost or snagged). Heavy baiting with mixed particles, boilies and tiger nuts. Double tigers and plastic corn on the rigs to avoid the crayfish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are clean and basic but functional. Nice shower and flushing toilet was appreciated.

General Comments:

100% would recommend this one, would love to go back really lovely lake with lots of features and character. The lake feels very private in every swim because of the way the islands split up the lake, the swims are very large and spacious and having the boat available to hire is a really nice bonus!

Details of your catches:

18 fish landed: 30-40lb x3 20-30lb x8 10-20lb x7

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Balanced tigers. There are crayfish present but not too much of a trouble, although I fed boilies I preferred to use tiger nuts balanced on the hair, this resulted in us catching 22 carp and losing 4 to hook pulls. There are a fair few snags from which most of my bites came from, that being said, braided main lines of 35-40lb minimum with lead free leaders down to the business end, this was more than enough to cope with the snags and extract the carp from their home.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities on site are basic with a shower and toilet around the other side of the of the Lake by peg 4. These are clean and tidy and a joy to use.

Were you happy with them?

Yes everything spot on

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Indeed, clean swims good views and plenty of water and features to fish to

Indeed

General Comments:

Each swim has more than enough features to fish to, from overhanging trees to weed beds, silty areas and small patches of gravel within the margins. The water clarity is good, so around the perimeter if you’re using a boat, you can actually see the clear spots where the fish have been feeding. There are some very beautiful carp present within the lake, both stunning commons and mirrors. Although I didn’t get into any of the large fish we still managed fish to 39lb. The fish are incredibly fit so be prepared for a good battle, either beat it from the bank or from the boat. It is a very quiet site with no car noise from neighbouring roads. There are other lakes present next to Lassicourt but you don’t seem to hear the other anglers on them, overall the lake is very good. There are quite a few stock fish which are soon growing in speed and will soon be up to very good weights, all of which are equally as stunning. I would highly recommend Lassicourt and will certainly go back again myself to try and get into some of the bigger residents that reside there.
