Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were excellent for what we were looking for.

Were you happy with them?

They had probably the best hot showers out of the 9 trips we have done this year. The only thing that was not available was cooking facilities but we were prepared for that and ate and cooked under shelter bankside where there was ample room in each swim for 2 bivvi’s and a shelter.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

100% excellent water with some of the nicest and best conditioned fish we have encountered. The strain in this water is not like most French lakes with the fish being long as against fat bellied and dumpy. The bailiff Mark is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and his advise is certainly worth listening to. He wants you to catch and does everything he can to make your trip memorable.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I have to say the communication from Angling Lines was second to none. We were kept advised of the lakes conditions due to low water and given recommendations on how to try and get the best from the situation.

General Comments:

We have now booked several trips through Angling Lines and have now fished 3 of the Scaley Waters venues. All I can say is that both come highly recommended and 2 more trips already booked for next year at Jonchery main lake and Jonchery 7.

Find one of the many hard clay spots and fish solid bags on them. Every fish we caught was with a handful of bait at this time of the year

General Comments:

Water level was down drastically this year like all lakes in France because of the weather, which was a a shame. But will definitely be coming back earlier in the year in the future to be able to fish it again when it’s full

Yes, big chest freezer for bait, clean hot shower, toilet and two double pegs

Yes they where as we thought they would be

Don't know as I know its not anyone's fault but water level was very very low to the point I could not fish peg two properly, it there was four of us we would have been screwed. Great fish but did spoil my holiday as couldn't fish properly. So I don't know if I would recommend

Think your set up was great so probably

General Comments:

Water too low, couldn't fish properly, probably down to a foot in places and two foot top to right of peg two, leads plugging as water did not slow them down, feel like at the moment peg one is the only one you can fish so no good if three or four angling. Think really its not very good for fish as even using net/ sling you struggle so care of the fish going down too

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, and we're really sorry that the low water level affected where you could fish. You're right that the lake level is at its lowest at this point in the year, which affects the fishable area of swim 2 and we fully agree it is now making it difficult for 4 anglers. We've been in contact with the bailiff and contacted all upcoming guests for the remainder of this season to discuss.

Really enjoyed the trip. Very quiet and closest you will get to a untouched venue
