General Comments:

The food was amazing for the 2nd year, looked forward to it every day. Would highly recommend bait boats due to most of our catches being on the gorse bank. Between us we lost approx. 12 catfish due to the size being bigger than anticipated and what we were set up for. Many thanks again to Lee and Tracy for a fantastic week of fishing and food. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Have a great summer.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tried every thing to get large carp / cats feeding just one of those weeks when they just didn't want to know. My bad week should not be a reflection of my impression of the venue which is a wonderful water and there are some huge fish in there. Lee did all he could to try and bring them on the feed but they just were not interested, we enjoyed the week spending time on the bank of a beautiful lake

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes they were excellent and Tracy's cooking is absolutly mouthwatering, she provides a well balanced and tasty menu and also provided gluten free cooking which my wife requires

Were you happy with them?

My only concern was the stairs in the gite, which I found quite diffIcult to negotiate in the absence of a hand rail that goes all the way up, but to be honest I am somewhat unsteady on steep stairs due to a bad back and severe arthritis in my hips, but its something that could do with some improvement.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes Tracy and Lee are really nice people and wonderful hosts under the right conditions the fishing could be spectacular, we were just unlucky. The venue has great wildlife and so peaceful and laidback atmosphere the locals are friendly greet with a smile and they smile back, Lee and Tracy's family and pets are brilliant especially the two dogs I am already missing them lol xx

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I would, Angling Lines provided us an excellent service, would not book with anybody else

We lost 12 fish on the Gorse Bank. The cats were eating our boilies before the carp and were too strong for our tackle. Lee and Tracy are excellent hosts. They make you feel really welcome and cannot do too much for you. Keep up the good work and good luck in the future, Paul & Terry
