Details of your catches:
Only 1 angler on the main lake no nights fished, only had the rods in the water for 3 or 4 hours a day - 27 carp to 34lbs, the weights were still down following spawning. 2 x catfish 22lb and 40lb. Few small bream that were a pest but as long as you don't fish too tight to the far bank they leave you alone! On Lake William we caught stacks and stacks of carp to mid doubles, float fishing sweetcorn, we also caught roach, rudd and tench. Great fun! Both our boys and grandparents caught tonnes of fish from Lake William!
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Main Lake - simple bottom bait blowback rigs, size 4 Korda wide gape hooks, little rig ring on the hair tight to the shank of the hook, fished on a leadclip and tubing set up, 16mm Sticky Baits Krill boilies with a trimmed down pop up to balance the rig nicely, snowman style. Don't fish too tight to the overhanging gorse, I fished anywhere between 2 metres and 5 metres off the far bank and caught regularly, the fish were feeding day and night but I only had the rods in for 2 hours in the morning and the same before dark. If you fished 24/7 you could have a really big hit of fish. Keep your line pinned down, I caught much quicker using backleads, the fish patrol up and down the lake all day. Don't be afraid to give them some bait once you start catching, slow and steady to start them if you are getting a few bites, let them have it. Every rod had at least a kilo of sticky baits Krill and Lee's pellet heavily glugged in the Krill liquid over the top. Don't neglect the nearside margins if you are fishing at night, the fish get right in close down the edges. Take more bait, leads, back leads and hooks than you think you will need, you can always take them home but you don't want to run out! Use Lee's own pellet mix it's what the fish are fed on and they cannot get enough of it!
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes absolutely spot on, myself and my wife based ourselves down at the lake so the hot shower was a god send back at the house. Grandparents stayed in the Gite and it was lovely, well appointed and comfortable. At the lake we used the BBQ which was lovely, we could even drop rig in the edge and we caught a couple from right under our feet whilst BBQ'ing!! Lee and Tracy were the perfect hosts, their 3 younger boys were so friendly and played every day with our 2 boys, playing in the woods and on the secret tree house! We made good use of the local area, visiting Carnac and had a day on the beach, took the boys Go Karting (www.gp-circuit.fr) which was brilliant, we ate out at Grand Himalaya in Loudeac which was delicious and we used the Buffalo Grill up just outside Loudeac also, La Glehias is a wonderful family venue and we shall definitely be back!
Were you happy with them?
Very happy with all the facilities, the floating cabin was perfect for a morning cuppa and the call of nature when down at the lakes!
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes absolutely, I would not suggest it for anymore than 3/4 anglers on the main lake at any one time, only my opinion I am sure 5 friends could fit in!
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, Angling Lines were superb. We booked our own ferries as our Grandparents live in France.

Prefer direct lets.
General Comments:
Thought the detached nature of the lakes to the gite would be a problem but not at all. If landing nets were available it would be even better. Thanks to the hosts.
