Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Lake William(stock Pond)- Float fishing with sweetcorn brought a bite a chuck, with roach, tench, carp and rudd Lake Lauren (Specimen Lake)- for carp fishing tight to the gorse bank tree line via a bait boat was the winning formula. Fishing locked up with 3oz leads on a simple leadcore leader with a lead clip. Snowman hookbaits consisting of Urban Baits Red Spicey Fish boilies and Sticky Baits Krill small white popups fished on the "german" rig consistently produced. Stalking/Floater fishing in stalkers corner with free lined dog biscuits was a winning tactic also. For cats fishing with Lees 5mm Pellets on the hook and feeding Lees smaller course pellet in open water along the old stream bed accounted for all the catches.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The Gite/House was finished to an exceptionally high standard. It was immaculately clean and Tracey provided us with anything we could have wanted or needed during our stay (mostly milk as we ran out a few times= Lifesaver) The shower and bathroom was spot on after a long day fishing. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could want for Michelin star cooking and for the less sophisticated there's a microwave too. It was a stunning place to stay surrounded by amazing French countryside and complete peace and tranquillity. The lakes were perfectly kept, litter free and the swims were flawless. The wooden platform staging which Lee and Tracey must take credit for were perfect to fish on, and made the swims very accessible. The security and privacy of the lakes was unbelievable and we had such an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable time. The floating cabin on Lake William is stunning. It was a great shelter from the sun and amazing place to have a coffee and watch the day pass by. The bbq on lake Lauren was ideal as we could fish watching the last rays of sun drift away whilst stuffing our faces. Magic .

Yes angling lines have been superb. They handled everything with ease (including some last minute car rental detail changes for our crossing) I would recommend them to all of my friends and will be booking with them again.

General Comments:

The best French fishing trip I've ever been on. Perfect family holiday, relaxing, enjoyable, lots of fish and full of memories. I cannot recommend angling lines and La Glehias highly enough.

The girls ranged from 2 to 8 pounders (Coarse Lake William) The men tanged from 2 to 23lbs (Coarse Lake William and Main Lake Lauren) Species ‘roach, tench, carp, catfish’.
