Details of your catches:

We had 12 carp and 6 catfish between the 2 of us and lost 6 catfish to the snags unfortunately

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Wafters and pop ups for carp although the cats still picked them up , large lumps of luncheon meat for all out cat fishing on heavier tackle , we found any snowman set up that the bottom bait was getting destroyed by small fish

Were the facilities what you expected?

Hadn’t realised how far away the main facilities were , it was a bit of a long walk but driving to and fro in the van was ok

Were you happy with them?

Yes all very clean and up to the job

General Comments:

Food was bang on. Bait-boat would be a massive advantage. Maybe add this to the lake description. . Owners Note: Thanks for the great feedback! Glad we could help you break some PB's :) And thank you so much for the photos :D Bait-boats have always been a contentious issue. Casting to the far bank is between about 90yds from the shallower end and around a 100yd chuck from the deeper end, which should be doable for most angers with a little practice, but a bait boat does give an undeniable advantage in terms of accuracy and stealth, as mentioned in our FAQs ;)

General Comments:

Was a difficult week to get bites, losing so many fish to snags made it somewhat frustrating and costly in tackle. *Owners Note: Thanks for the feedback! :) I'm guessing by snags you mean the overhanging trees and gorse along the far bank, which is a great holding area for the fish making it a great feature to fish to. Twenty-seven takes in a week isn't too shabby! :)*
