Gorse bank, reeds and gate corner. Quest Baits Rahja and Crab Boilies with one pop up sweet corn. Rahja and Crab pop ups

General Comments:

The nicest hosts you could ask for, nothing was too much trouble. Nice accommodation, very nice lake. (Great BBQ banana)

Details of your catches:

13 Carp from 20lb 07oz up to 31lb 03oz averaging 25lb 12oz + 35lb 2oz Cat. All but one fish came on Special Crab, the other coming out on Rahja Spice.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fish for one fish at a time. Light scattering of boilies around each rod. The margins appear best. Don’t over complicate things; all fish came on mono hook links.

General Comments:

High pressure for most of the week, and the lake temperature went from 8°C to 16°C in 5 days. This appeared to slow the carp down. We enjoyed the week, thanks Lee and Tracy – Jim and Family

Gorsebank and shallows, shallows when warmer.Snowman-Rahja Spice/pineapple combination.6-10 baits around each hookbait

Were the facilities what you expected?

Lake-brilliant-safe/secure. Accomodation better than expected, good facilities-quality and comfortable/ clean and homley. We didnt have food package but Lee and Tracy still looked after any food needs we had - lovley eggs!

General Comments:

A brilliant week, fishing beyond wildest dreams for March. High average size and lots of fish still warming up! Nothing to much trouble for Lee and Tracy-top hosts. Accomodation 1st class. Thanks for having us.

Details of your catches:

5 Carp to 30lb 10oz, plus 1 Catfish at 36lbs 1oz and a couple of small Grassies to 8lb. Struggled as fish were spawning.

Basic tactics pellet + boillie in the margins.

Couldn’t ask for better hospitality the food was beautiful, and the lake is beautiful + peaceful.
