The lake was very weedy but we knew this before hand so we had our own boat. We had 9 fish out 5 cats and 4 carp. The cats came in at 16lb, 18lb, 52lb, 66lb, and 70lb. The carp came it at 30lb common, 35lb mirror x 2 and a 46lb mirror.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The cats were going for the meaty cc more liver stim live and the carp were eating the manilla. The best spots we found were on the shower block side fishing towards the very edges of the weed. The cats were coming out from the top end of the shower block side in the channel that goes between the 2 spits. Fished the margins and got hit with 16 bream. Only the left side of the lake was fishable due to the volume of weed and low water levels

Were the facilities what you expected?

Shower block and toilet were usable nothing fancy but worked fine. The kitchen block was also the same. 1 big chest freezer and 3 fridges, a microwave and a hob. Even had power to charge up battery packs and what not.

Were you happy with them?

I was very happy with the venue, plans to come back when the weeds at it's lowest and the water levels have returned

Yes Angling Lines were brilliant throughout, also kept me updated on the weed issues in the lake and offered me the chance to move to another lake.

General Comments:

The whole process was smooth and would definitely recommend Angling Lines to a friend and I would love to return back to the lake. The lake was covered with a lot of weed and the water level was down slightly but it still fished very well.

General Comments:

I would recommend fishing directly onto the clear areas from the bank, there is a lot of weed around the island which can be tricky for indication and getting the fish back safely.
