Overview
Introducing Lepinet, simply one of the best lakes for carp fishing in France - this is a beautiful gravel pit with a superb stock of carp - one session saw one angler catch 3 different 50's and 11 different 40's.
This is a lake that offers a lot to both experienced and more inexperienced anglers. There are plenty of underwater features and the chance to fish at range (perfect for those that want to do some boat work!) but the stock of approximately 700+ carp, including many at 40lb+, means it usually produces runs for all.
Lepinet measures in at 29 acres and for booking purposes is split into two venues - Lepinet North and Lepinet South, each covering over 14 acres of water. Floating markers across the centre of the lake defines each half and marks the furthest point to which you can cast from your side. The carp of course move freely across the whole of the lake, as there is no hindrance below the surface.
On the south side there are six swims - two singles and four doubles - with plenty of water for a maximum of 10 anglers when booked exclusively for your group and a maximum of 7 anglers when booked non-exclusive (so as to allow space to move around if you wish).
The venue is an easy 3hr drive from the port of Caen and 4hr 30 from Calais.
You can prebook swims individually or for groups of 6-10 you will find that it is well priced to book the venue exclusively. For larger groups of up to 20 anglers, it is possible to hire the whole of Lepinet lake (both North and South).

"Lost count after 25 carp - so many runs in the 5 days we were there. Some really epic carp to mid 40's & some of the hardest fighting carp in France IMO. Absolutely awesome venue that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I've fished 100's of venues across Europe over the past 17 years and this Is up there with the best of them. Lots of action, quality hard fighting carp and a beautiful lake to look at. If you're considering this one you will not be disappointed!"
