Due to the very heavy silt helicopter rigs were used by everyone Balanced hookbaits, wafters and slow sinking fake maize produced the bites

Facilities were basic as expected but the showers were hot and powerful.

The shower building is a bit shabby but served their purpose

The fence that separates the lake from the "nature reserve" is in need of repair. There is a large number of big fish in there despite the fence being there to prevent that. There is a large number of fallen trees and snags that need removing, trailing lines in the water connected to snags and trees which resulted in a few lost fish. The lake image shows two pegs on the far bank but in reality there is only one. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we have discussed the snags and separation fence with the owner. He informs us that snags will be cut back over the closed winter season which should make things easier. He has also lowered the water level to look at the separation fence – the fence is in good condition, and whilst he does keep a few fish on the other side of the fence, it is very few.

General Comments:

Up your end tackle and take plenty of spares the fish know where the hole in the fence and the snags are, especially the cats. Sebastian or his cousin coming down most days to see if we needed bait ect

We had 38 fish out during the week between 2 anglers.most fish being mid 20. Eight were over 30 and 1 43lb being biggest carp. 1 grass carp and 2 cats amongst the total with the biggest cat being 47lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Mainly krill 20mm boilies. My mate fished on lead clip and hair rig while I used fluro hook lengths on a running lead setup

Yes. Very basic as explained in the info pack. Facilities were clean and that's all that mattered

Definitely. Had a great holiday and as a social the place is excellent. At in the middle of nowhere so very quiet. Good supermarket 13 minutes drive away.

General Comments:

Had a great time. As a social this location was perfect for what we wanted. Fishing was good and both myself and my mate are still quite new to carp fishing so would say we did well. Only thing that I was disappointed with was the anglers who were on before us left the fire pits on the pegs with cigarette packets and Fishing line in. I bagged this up and put in the bins supplied which they would of walked past to load the car up.
