Bait test and catches, 25th May

Over the last few months we have sought and found excellent boilies for use on our lake. Of course you may bring your own, but as changes through brexit mean restrictions on bringing bait into France we have sought to solve the issue and now we can inspire confidence in this bait because these sessions were a resounding success!

This is a great company F.A.E.bouliettesfraiche.com

They offer a wide range of boillie but after discussion we arranged for them to come and test baits so we would be sure the ones we chose would work well on the lake.

The baits we chose were :-

Garliver (Stabilized Range)

Fearsome in all seasons, especially in cold water,
Our liver powder and our liver liquid are part of its composition and give this a powerful liver smell.
A slight percentage of Garlic improves the attraction and mouth feel of these boilies.
The attraction and digestion are multiplied with the addition of granular ingredient.
A boilie made for big fish. Medium grain size.

Fruity cream.

Our Fruity Cream, already so well known, will bring you the advantage of high visibility, helping the carp find your baiting area.
In shallow water, the light will amplify this phenomenon, thus complementing the work done by the attractants present in the boilie and its colour!
The combination of coconut and blackcurrant allowed the catch of a considerable number of fish during the test period! It can be used as well on ALT as on instant fishing (in soluble bags), and this whatever the season!

These are two flavours of stabilised boilies that will not go mouldy. You can order these direct and have them delivered to the lake. Just follow the instructions for delivery in your customer area info pack.

Tight lines!

A Successful Session in Scorching Temperatures, 21st Aug

Matthew Field kindly sent us a video from his trip to Beaurepaire this August. Out of 19 carp on the bank at Beaurepaire, 11 were over 40lb+, a fantastic result.

Here's the feedback:

"This venue was great for those who want to experience France fishing. Amazing fish. We would recommend to those who want to fish lake exclusive and not have to travel too far from Calais."

Work to shorten the spit complete, 9th Jul

Many anglers pointed out that the space between the two spits that come out into the middle of the lake left only a small channel for fish to travel between both sides of the lake. The work to widen and deepen this channel is now complete.

The spit that anglers use to bivvy up on is still the same size, so you can continue to fish socially from this point, but the other spit on the far side of the lake is now significantly shorter.

Thank you for your patience with this, the work was delayed a couple of times due to the ground being too wet.
