Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Pop-ups fished over a handful of boilies, plastic corn brought 3 fish, standard bottom baits brought the rest. Large beds of bait did not bring catches, smaller amounts worked much better.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Mostly. Fridge, freezer and shower are fine, clean bathroom. Toilet flushing poor in toilet block.

Details of your catches:

What can we say about the week, well what a week it turned out to be especially as fish spawned whilst we were there.

We took 37 fish with a forty plus common and over 17 x 30s with many aproaching 40lb. Ian also had a 37lb Grass Carp.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We caught 95 per cent of fish on s2t steamies from Innovate Baits. Particle wasn't doing it we found whilst we were there.

Weed is not a issue and fish can be caught both to margins and open water.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Shower facilities are very clean but bait fridge could do with being bigger. Take french adapter for you chargers too.

General Comments:

Fish were in immaculate condition and what fighters too. It's a lovely lake and very quiet. French owner who lives on site doesn't bother you but pops over to say hello.

Swims are spacious and give plenty of access to all parts of lake however both swims have been stoned up which arnt really carp kit freindly and kit does tend to get covered when it rains. Suggestion would be to bark mulch the swims.

Conclusion a fabulous venue which is well worth a visit. Bailiffs are friendly too.

Had a total of 37 fish ranging from 22lb to 54lb. Very clean fish, hard fighting.

Most fish come from back off reeds & lilies. Particle and boilies both work well.

Yes. Could do with a bigger freezer for bait, possibly a hut near the lake.

General Comments:

Everyone was very friendly, enjoyed the week's fishing.

Details of your catches:

A good week with lots of 30's and a few 40lb fish. The smallest fish caught was 21.8lb, the biggest 45lb common from open water.

Fishing to the open water on a single boilies on a semi fixed bolt rig with small beds of bait (20-30 boilies).

General Comments:

A quiet lake with a good head of fish. Lots showing on the far bank in front of both swims but most fish still came out from the open water. Fishing to the showing fish didn't bring many takes. The lake is shallow but fish were caught in all depths of water.
