Details of your catches:
Commons 58lb, 54lb 8ozs and 40lb 8ozs, 3 grass carp 40 45,45lb. 5 other carp between 25 and 34lbs and a random pike that picked up a boilie and gave a cracking run!
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Fishing was hard compared to the last trip at the venue but still happy as i beat my pb which is getting harder to do.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes apart from the toilet at the lake is no longer in use as owner said it blocks to often.
Were you happy with them?
Stables are fine which houses facilities but take ten mins to walk to. Previous fishermen had decided that this was too far and spent the week defacating into two plastic buckets which greeted us on swim 1 on arrival. This was reported to mark at jonchery, who asked us to inform Bernard at site. He doesent speak a word of english and we were in swim 2 explaining about the mess left in swim one. On inspection a few hrs later it was still there and remained so when we left. When the next group are unlucky enough to check contents of the black buckets, it was not us!!!
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Maybe, needs a toilet at the lake and bernard needs to take a bit more care of the rubbish. There were also half a dozen buckets full of rotten bait just left next to bins in both swims all week and were still there when we left.

Angling lines yes
General Comments:
All good and a lovely place, let down by mess already mentioned in swim, paying a lot of money for two to hire the whole lake you expect it at least to be clean which was dissapointing on this occasion.
*Angling Lines note* The situation regarding rubbish is completely unacceptable and we apologise. We have spoken to the lake, it was a miscommunication and it will not happen again.

General Comments:
We've fished Brie many times before, this week was very difficult with a big blank spell in the middle of the week. Weather was very up and down with first weekend hot and sunny followed by cool weather and cold nights mid-week. Main factor affecting fishing seemed to be carp preoccupied with eating roach spawn (we observed this), mainly at far end of the lake and out of fishing range. Nevertheless some very nice fish caught with high average weight and all in superb condition. Wildlife did not disappoint either - I saw my first ever Wryneck behind swim 1!
