Were the facilities what you expected?

Simple but efficient and clean for a week's fishing. English sockets. They are a long way from the lake but we knew this so went prepared

Yes, they were clean and tidy

I would recommend Brocard when the levels are back to normal

I have used Angling Lines for many years and will continue to use and recommend to friends

General Comments:

We was the only anglers on the lake due to very low levels. Swim 6 was the deepest peg on the lake so we had enough depth to fish to.

Brocard is in the middle of the woods and the wildlife there was plentiful and it was very dark at night with no light pollution which in return gave us beautiful clear sky full of stars.

Frank is a friendly guy who popped round every couple days to make sure we was ok and to check on water levels. It's a very picturesque lake with plenty of birdlife and we enjoyed our time and caught some beautiful looking fish. There are poisson chat in the lake which is stated on the website but we personally didn't get affected by them.

No particular spots worked better than others but I feel this was due to the fact that alot of the fish was infront of us because of the low levels.

Overall we had a good weeks fishing and for October, catching fish in 25c heat is always a bonus. Will look forward to returning at some stage

95% were caught using a double drilled out tigernut over a bed of tigers and hemp

Yes the facilities were as expected, very basic but at least we could get a hot shower

Overall yes

Hard to give an answer because the water levels were really low so only 2 swim were fishable on a 39 acre lake

Yes I would recommend Angling Lines. After we had a trip cancelled 2 half weeks before we were due to travel the staff were brilliant in finding us another venue

Overall it was a good week for myself as I had 30 of the 41 fish
