Cailleaux Fish
The lake is stocked with plenty of carp to over 59lb, around 40 catfish to over 160lb (so make sure you take tackle of adequate strength), and some grass carp to over 48lb.
The average carp weighs around 28-30lb, with 40lb+ fish a true possibility during the week. The real appeal here is the sheer number of runs - this is normally an easy-going lake, well suited to beginner-friendly carp fishing in France, or anyone who simply wants plenty of bends in the rod. Of course, all lakes have quiet weeks occasionally, but Cailleaux is usually reliable.
There are also some roach, rudd, perch, tench, koi and grass carp.
