General Comments:

Venue was suffering from low water levels, 30% of the lake unfishable/dry, most of the lillybeds have disappeared and the main two swims are a bit overgrown but probably because they are too high off of the water, the adjacent bank side is a bit lower, also discovered that one remaining tree stump is still submerged at the dam end of the lake right in the middle, this needs removing in my opinion or at least shown on a lake map? Hot day time temperatures followed by clear cold nights weren’t ideal, but we would make a return visit at an earlier time of year

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We have passed your feedback on to the owners, Jonathan and Francois. They confirmed they have now cut back all the vegetation that was causing an issue. They did confirm that the water level is lower than usual due to the hot conditions France has experienced over the past few months but remains fishable for the number of anglers. We've contacted all upcoming guests for the remainder of this season to discuss.

After a challenging weeks fishing we managed 8 catches with the biggest topping 36lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

15mm Orange pop-up.
2x 12mm pink pop-up.
20mm Krill boilie but wrapped up in Nash Claw Cracker to stop those cheeky crays having a nibble.

All fished over a bed of house pellet and a few boilies.

Were the facilities what you expected?

And then some. The facilities were absolutely perfect.
We was so happy and impressed and can honestly say we have never felt so comfortable for a weeks fishing trip.

Were you happy with them?

The cabin was spotless and really comfy. There was just two of us so we had loads of room and felt at home right away.
We spent most of our time outside under the veranda, which was perfectly pleasant during the day and saved us from the sun on a few occasions.
The kitchen was spot on and had everything we needed for a weeks cooking but to be honest we spent most of our time cooking outside on the BBQ.
For an off grid cabin in the woods, the owners have done a fantastic job. They have really carefully thought about everything and covered every possible need for a perfect weeks stay.

Of course and we already have but not too many in case it gets too busy and we have trouble booking again lol

Most definitely. The entire process, communication and planning from start to finish has been perfectly smooth and hassle free.

General Comments:

We both just wanted to take a minute to really thank Francois and Jonathan. They made us feel so welcome, like part of the carp house family. The second you meet the guys you can feel just how passionate they are about their lake and what they have created.
My biggest recommendation to anyone would be to listen to these guys, they really want you to catch and take home some magical memories.
The carp house is something really special and we can't wait to return.
