About the Lake
The lake forms part of a complex of lakes of which the Jonchery main lake is the largest. Jonchery 7 is separated from the larger lake by three stock ponds, ensuring your privacy. There are plenty of carpy margins and features to fish to. The depths range from 2-4ft at it's deepest point and the distance to the far bank from the main swim is approximately 105m.
Anglers will be pleased to know that weed and snags pose no issues here. There are no poisson chat, and although the occasional crayfish may be present, they’ve not been reported to interfere with fishing.
The track to this lake runs alongside Jonchery main lake and there's good vehicle access to the swims. You can leave your vehicle parked behind your swim for the week (it is spacious enough even for large vans), however the rule is to only use the vehicle to drive to the facilities / leave the complex a maximum of twice per day, out of respect for other anglers on the complex. It's a 15 minute walk to reach the shower & toilet facilities (or you're welcome to bring a bike too).
Bait boats are allowed and can make the fishing even simpler. The lake responds to a wide variety of tactics, but boilies over light particle have produced some of the biggest catches.
On arrival you'll be asked to disinfect your unhooking mat, landing net and weigh sling to prevent the transmission of carp viruses.
