24mm plum boilies over a bed of sweet party mix with plum liquid mixed in caught all our fish, we fished to the far margin under the overhanging trees for the vast majority of the fish with 3 or 4 coming from the back right corner

Yes, clean and functional facilities with ample room in the lodge and fridge and freezers, each swim has its own charging shelf also

General Comments:

I was looking for a venue for me sons first French fishing trip and I didn’t want him to be bored or put off by a hard water, so after researching venues I chose Jonchery 7, booked in 2024 for this 2026 trip and it didn’t disappoint. I can’t recommend this water highly enough for a first venue for young anglers - plenty of action to keep busy and keep them off their phones/tablets with the real chance of landing a lump.

Mark and Anita made us feel completely at home on the venue and the food package is fantastic, we’re already looking forward to our 2027 visit to Jonchery.

General Comments:

Mark was a very nice chap, very knowledgeable and professional. Just a nice relaxed week

Details of your catches:

We had 73 carp including a 51lb mirror common Carp. We could have fished harder and had more but we were more than happy with this as at night we couldn't keep rods in the water!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Big beds of Marks particle over a bed of boilies and hemp. We fished mostly bottom baits and snowman rigs With size 4/6 hooks with a German rig.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes - we have fished Jonchery before. The lake peg is well maintained, the facility for washing/cooking and charging are more than adequate to accommodate all anglers.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very much so, wear shower, decent fridge and freezer space and plugs to charge your kit... not much more you can ask for!!!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes - Jonchery 7 is action packed ideal for those who are new to angling and fancy a run, or for those who fish harder venues and just want some action.
