Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

House plum boilie over the top of house sticky particle fished to the far margin and to the right side bay

Standard bottom rigs worked well, nothing complicated

General Comments:

The Jonchery complex is very well maintained and run by Mark and his Wife Anita.
We had a great week on J7 but fishing wasn't easy partly because we wanted a social and all fish the same swim, once we changed to the house bait we started getting more fish.
I feel that we could have had more fish if we fished the single swim from the off.
We caught some stunning carp including 3 koi and 2 50's which was a new PB for 1 of our party which was great.
The lake is a stunning little lake which holds some great hard fighting fish, we had a great time.
USE THE HOUSE BAIT is the only advice I would give as after switching to it on the Tuesday after using DNA baits my cousin Mark landed a new PB of 54lb just 5mins of putting it out.
Will definitely return to fish Jonchery 7

Details of your catches:

47 carp, 4 x 40s to 46.6, 6 x 30s, rest were 20s/ doubles plus 7 bream, 2 red eye and 1 pike.
PB for Graham Duff of 46.6 plus he caught an orange koi so he was a very happy bunny 😁

Used Marks particle mix and wafters along with our own plum boilies

General Comments:

We’ve fished J7 before and although the fishing wasn’t as prolific as normal we still had a good and relaxing time. Dont think the warm days/ cold nights helped as last time it was hard to keep all rods in the water, this time we only had 4 runs at night all week.
Bream were a pain to start but changed to single or double 18mm hard hookers and didn’t have any after that. Mark and Anita are lovely people and run a fantastic fishery, listen to Marks advice 👍

Details of your catches:

Total number of carp 61 plus 1 small pike, cat and bream. We lost quite of few as well. A brilliant week fishing days only from about 10am onward until dusk.
Dave P had 14 carp, best common 33lb, best mirror 41.08, 1 leather 28lb plus a small cat.
Dave B had 22 carp, best common 49.08lb, 7 mirror best 28.08lb, 1 grass 38lb.
Me, Cliff had 22 carp, best common 50lb (not the same fish as Dave B), Best mirror 33lb, 3 grass best 37lb, 1 bream, 1 pike.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Used 30kg plum boilies, 60kg pellet, some hemp & maize, but cut down on the particle as we were pestered by 4 swans which kept diving on the bait. 'D' rigs, snowman, blow-back all worked well to the far margins.

Yes, we have been before and booked for the next 2 years so we knew what to expect.

Yes, no problems.

Absolutely! Brilliant venue, Mark and Anita also around if you need them and let you get on with a trouble free holiday. I have been fishing in France for 30 year and this is my favourite place by far.

24mm plum boilies over a bed of sweet party mix with plum liquid mixed in caught all our fish, we fished to the far margin under the overhanging trees for the vast majority of the fish with 3 or 4 coming from the back right corner

Yes, clean and functional facilities with ample room in the lodge and fridge and freezers, each swim has its own charging shelf also

General Comments:

I was looking for a venue for me sons first French fishing trip and I didn’t want him to be bored or put off by a hard water, so after researching venues I chose Jonchery 7, booked in 2024 for this 2026 trip and it didn’t disappoint. I can’t recommend this water highly enough for a first venue for young anglers - plenty of action to keep busy and keep them off their phones/tablets with the real chance of landing a lump.

Mark and Anita made us feel completely at home on the venue and the food package is fantastic, we’re already looking forward to our 2027 visit to Jonchery.
