Caught 25 fish, from 4lb to 34lb, smaller than expected although weather conditions extremely hot, most catches where in the night. But rats are prolific *Angling Lines note* We have discussed this with the bailiff - 2 rats were reported during the week, these are actively managed.

Were the facilities what you expected?

No, when you book an exclusive lake you would think that the facilities would also be exclusive, but had to share with all other gentlemen on the lake. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. Whilst the lake is exclusive to you, the Jonchery complex shares one facilities block and we include this information in the write-up.

Were you happy with them?

They where ok, but not enough for the amount of people they where catering for. 1 shower, 1 toilet.

Details of your catches:

20 x carp to 30lb, lots of small cats (between 3 and 7 lb), one cat of 54lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Single bottom baits over pellet, using bait boat. Tried snowman and pop up rigs, most carp caught on slip D rigs.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities have been improved, better than when I visited in the past.

Yes.

On the results we had, not really, but I’m sure given better weather conditions the catches would have been better.

General Comments:

The week we fished it reached 39 degrees most days, the only shade we had was sitting behind van which you park at back of swim. There is a lot of very small catfish. Supposedly Jonchery 8 has a larger (weight) size than Jonchery 7, but in our opinion find it hard to believe, having fished Jonchery 7 a couple of times before.

Details of your catches:

Too many catfish. Was doing my best to not use bait to attract them but were all over it. Shame as several double takes from different spots with carp to a nice size and beautiful scale patterns

Using lake boilies and lake particles kept away from pellet to deter cats but didn’t work 🤔😔

Great toilet, hot clean shower, loads of space in the fridge and freezers

Can’t speak highly enough about mark his wife and team. COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR YOU, even if it meant disturbing their routine. Don’t think I’ve ever met such a genuine helpful pleasant guy as Mark, he’s always smiling

First time using Angling lines and really pleased with the service and information. 20 out out 10 for me, would highly recommend

General Comments:

Fishing for us wasn’t as good as expected but fish due to spawn and a lot of catfish in our lake. I don’t realise how many (not doing my homework properly) but we really really enjoyed our visit to a lovely venue and France as ever. Mark and his team 20/10, pleasant happy guy, nothing too much for them to make sure you have a great holiday. After visiting the site would love to fish the main lake and 7!! So as far as I’m concerned my visit was very educational.

32 caught in total. 18 Carp to 37lb 4oz, a 40lb 4oz Koi and 13 catfish all caught on the lake bait.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

On all our trips to Jonchery we have always found the best tactic is to use the lake bait. Listen to Mark he is spot on with his advice and spots that are catching.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, you get access to a fridge, freezer, charging points, toilet and shower. We choose not to use the cooker and kitchen facilities as we always have Anita’s meal package, the food is delicious and comes highly recommended

Another trip over and already looking forward to the next one. Mark & Anita ensure the lake is clean and tidy. A well managed fishery and already booked to go back.
