Q: How much bait will I need?

How much bait is down the individual, but on average 5 - 10 kilo of particles and the same in boilies.

Q: What bait do you recommend?

For boilies, fishmeal & fruit flavours work well, red & yellow colours. At Manière, we use Carp Company frozen boilies, because we know the nutritional value in the bait, it aids the health and growth of the carp. You can purchase them on site.

Q: If you supply bait on site, will I be able to get more bait during my stay if I need it?

Yes, throughout the week it is possible to buy Carp Company boilies, pop ups and particles.

Q: What hook size do you recommend?

Micro barb and wide gape hooks only, carp size 8 and 6 hooks.

Q: What is the surface of the swims - can I use bank sticks?

The surface of the swims is mainly grass and gravel. Yes, you can use pods or bank sticks.

Q: Do you recommend use of a bait boat?

Bait boats have some advantages but are not necessary. We have Viper Bait Boats for rental.

Q: Can I drive all the way around the lake in order to unload

No you can’t. We have got a private road with a side entrance to the fishery where you can unload your gear. Once unloaded, you will have to drive to the back of the fishery, where you can park your vehicle in the designated secure gated car park. You can also unload your gear from there.
