Old Oaks Fish
The lake does hold a significant number of original fish, these carp are mostly very dark mirrors and commons. The lake received large stockings in 2005 and 2006, each time only top quality fish are introduced, all handpicked by Mehdi. This continues to this day, where Mehdi adds new carp as and when needed, homebred and selected for their looks and growth.
We estimate there now to be around 100-120 carp, healthy numbers for the size of the lake.
Take a look at the feedback and you’ll see that Old Oaks delivers lots of big carp. The vast majority are 30lb+ right up to the magnificent long common which is the lake record at over 82lb+.
There are also 15 grass carp to 40lb and 3 catfish to 70lb+.
