I tried all tactics that I could, fish were not feeding due to the extreme heat. I had a couple of runs that came to nothing

Facilities are good, toilet, shower, electric, fridge freezer all clean and looked after

General Comments:

In all my trips to France, I would say that Laroussi and Old Oaks have been the most comfortable and enjoyable trips I have been to due to the host Medhi and his family. They are very helpful and hospitable, and make you feel very welcome and helpful. I will book Old Oaks again in different weather conditions

Details of your catches:

Unfortunately it was a difficult session due to the extremely hot weather. Two carp landed for me, 8lb and 3lb. I also hooked what I am sure was a 50lb+ fish but unfortunately lost it during the fight after it got into some snags.

General Comments:

So we got to the venue it was around 11:30 am but we couldn't get in until 2pm so we did a shop then came bake. The owners came to meet us, gave us a few tips and went through the rules. It took me the day to set up us I take everything and a kitchen sink 😀. The following morning I started scanning my swim baiting up and found my spots. There was not a touch until late Monday morning when I had a screaming take. Within 10 seconds I was on the other side of the lake under a fallen tree with snags, fish was definitely 50 lbs plus in what look like snags. I realised there was a lot of slack line and within 15 minutes I saw my line stretching out. I reeled in the slack, sorted my clutch out and started the fight. I managed to get it back towards me around 30 yards and then the worst thing happened, it pinged off and the hook came out. It was extremely hot, we packed up a day early as fishing was very difficult, nothing was happening. I will definitely go back and give it a go. I found Mehdi and his wife so helpful, genuinely wonderful people. I will definitely go back and fish one of the two lake again.

only 6 carp, but all over 30lb including 62lb and 51lb mirrors, no issues with poisson chat

double boilie but didnt catch much so its hard to come to a conclusion, fish were not in feeding mode or showing themselves
