Yes excellent, all clean and the power in the swims is a great idea as are the composted toilets.

General Comments:

Great week, the fishing was slow but the other swims were unoccupied so we think it would of helped if there had been disturbance to move the fish around.

Details of your catches:

15 carp landed between the 2 of us, biggest was 43lb 12oz with 4 x 30s.
2 x sturgeon (possibly the same fish) were landed and we found they did disrupt the swim (2) for nearly 24 hours, another larger one was hooked but was lost, once again the swim slowed for a long period.
Sorry no pictures as we are shy and it was raining (they seemed to like the rain)!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We tried various tactics throughout the week and found a large scoop of mixed particle, pellet and 18mm boilies worked quicker than more bait.
I tried more bait as we found the Poisson Chat were abundant and very active (when the jets flew overheard you could see the reaction over the whole swim.
We caught from both the far margin and open water near the small changes in depth.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, but more than adequate for our needs, a fridge freezer was put to good use and there was one for each swim.
Hot running water in the sink and the shower was good.
4 x power points were available in each swim (bring an extension lead each and you can get power into each bivvy for charging phones and bait boats.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, only down side was the fish care equipment, but we brought our own landing nets and unhooking mats.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Venue is ideal for newcomers to the sport/father and son combo as tiddler bashing for the poisson chat was fun

Always recommend Angling Lines to friends as you have a variety of venues and support is there if you need it

General Comments:

There were fish scanners in the lodge but we were not asked to use them or shown how to document findings.
Stock info was very limited, with catch returns so we could not assess if we had a good week or a slow week.
The owner tried very hard to communicate using his phone app.
We only used their maize and hemp, which is supplied by LBL baits, which is based about an hour away, if you were really using a lot of bait resupply could be a problem.

*Owner's note* Thank you for your feedback :-) Regarding the poisson chat, we have installed traps around the lake and introduced mandarin catfish and black bass to help regulate their population. With the fish scanners, instructions explaining how to use them and record catches are available in the cabin. We are, of course, also available to assist guests if necessary. We would also like to clarify that the seeds and pellets are prepared and supplied directly by us. Only the boilies and liquids come from LBL Baits. We always make sure to keep bait in stock so that we can resupply anglers during their stay. Finally regarding your catch report of 15 carp, Zentelles is not an easy lake and the fishing conditions can be demanding - in this context your final tally is a good result in our opinion :-)

Details of your catches:

We had a lovely week at Zentelles where I took my 14 year old son for his first French carp fishing experience. The swim and facilities were top notch with a really friendly and helpful owner. I never thought I would say it but power points in every swim really is a luxury. Fishing wise the conditions were roasting hot, but still managed 10 nice carp, mainly 20's to high 30's. I would recommend this venue, especially on an exclusive with 3 to 4 anglers, plenty of space for all.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The far margins seemed to be the hot spot, although don't overlook other areas, they will fizz and give themselves away. Only other thing to note, like many venues in the summer, there are a small number of Poisson Chat, so come prepared with hard baits and recommend stiff rigs.
