29 fish, 5 grass carp. The rest 10 doubles!! Low twenties and 3 thirties!!
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Have to use Tiger nuts as the lake was teeming with poisson chat!!

General Comments:
I have fished Brocard, Jonchery and now Renarde.
For over 20 years, seen the fisheries change and not for the best IMHO.
Jonchery, Jonchery 7 and 8 and la Brie are obviously the jewels in the crown. No poisson chat! Sad to say after spending over 1400pounds+ on a lake with fish I can catch in local day ticket waters, I will no longer be fishing the waters I fell in love with fishing in France. This is in no way a slight on the venues just my opinion based on over 20 +trips.😔
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear about the lower average weights experienced during your trip. Having discussed this with the owner, the main factor was a tough spawning season combined with this year's hot conditions, which has affected average weights across a number of lakes. However, we will continue to monitor catch reports for Renarde.

Details of your catches:
13 carp including 2 over 40 lb and a few upper 30’s. Nothing under 20lb. Grass, mirrors, commons and 1 linear.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
It is vital to use tiger nuts as hook baits (poisson chat and crayfish). But if you do you won’t be bothered by them. All loose feed needs to be seed, maize, tiger or a blended party mix. Please listen to the bailiffs about tactics they are spot on.
Were the facilities what you expected?
They were described as no frills but I have been to places in France with so called facilities that have been far worse. They were very clean, working perfectly well and very efficient. Charging points provided as well.👍
Were you happy with them?
Absolutely fine.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

General Comments:
Facilities were ok but overall not happy with lake or details I was informed off prior to booking. Was informed by lake manager on what’s app that the lake depth was average 5-6ft throughout only to find out after scanning whole lake with my deeper Quest bait boat that the lake was Infact only 2.2ft -2.6ft max dept. Water levels where also at max level so no drop in water column. Very very thick clay/silt bottom so unable to even cast a 2oz lead without it plugging the bottom of the lake due to how shallow it is. Lake is overrun with poussin chats and crayfish and not to mention the amount of rats was overwhelming. Swim 1 was our swim and due to the above issues and also a huge chestnut tree over hanging the whole swim we struggled to get any sleep due to constant falling debris (nuts/branches) landing on top of your bivvy as well as on top of the plastic roofing on top of the shelter. Ordered baits which we was informed would be on our swim for when we arrived and nothing was there and we had no bait for 24hrs!! When we eventually received our baits the partical and maize were days old if not over a week old and was practically rotten and smelled like human sick and none of it was the amount we actually ordered.
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear you had a frustrating week. We have discussed your feedback with Bailiff Mark, we are really sorry for any misunderstanding regarding the water levels. These are clearly displayed on the venue webpage and Mark does not believe he would have told you otherwise – there would be no point to this. To our knowledge, poisson chat have not generally caused problems on the lake this season. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and have updated the lake description to include this information. Mark informed us that your bait was delivered around 5pm on Saturday – apologies for the delay. If anglers have any issue for example with bait please let bailiff Mark know, he will do his best to assist.
