4 on tigernuts over particle, 31 on a mix of nut and fruit boilies in a sweet liquid. Poisson chat are a little bit of an issue when fishing fishmeal baits or singles. However over large beds of boilies and with stuff rig setups, we never had any issues with them.

General Comments:

Fantastic venue, well run. Stunning fish. Would absolutely return.

We had 23 fish in total the heaviest was a 37lb grass carp, then the heaviest common carp was 35lb with a couple of mirrors in there

First night we used boilies which john caught a 24lb on but the rest had them ate so we stuck to tiger nuts

The facilities were better than we expected the bailiffs were very nice and helpful 👍

Yes as we didn't have to use some of our gear as the shelter did the job👌

The lake was lovely, the fish are very well looked after and beautiful colouring on them all

40 fish in all. 40lb grass carp was the biggest. Lots of 20s and 30s other carp. In all a very good trip

Mixture of bait fishing on spot. Tiger nut very good

Had 6 carp to 30lb but unfortunately had 12 poisson chat

All tactics work, tiger nut helped to keep a bait on the hook but didn’t stop you catching poisson chat

Better, advertised as basic but where pretty good

Yes but don’t think they had been cleaned before we arrived

ABSOLUTELY NOT, we left after our 2nd night, already a difficult place to fish with the amount of poisson chat but this is stated in the description but is overun with them at present, the main reason I would not recommend the place is the infestation of Rats, Rats are part of fishing but this was a whole new level, they destroyed hundreds of pound of tackle and equipment, this currently isn’t a safe place to go, peg 3 is also very awkward to fish off and Is in a poor state, certainly couldn’t be fished by someone of an older age

*Angling Lines comment* We're always sorry when one of our venues does not meet customer's expectations. Rats are seen more often on many lakes at this time of year as natural food sources dry up in the fields, forcing vermin to become bolder with regard to humans in search of food. The bailiff Mark did visit the lake with poison once this was reported by yourselves, however we understand that by that point you had decided to leave. We understand that you do not feel that the amount of compensation we offered regarding your damaged cloth camp kitchen unit is sufficient, but I'm afraid there is no more we can do at this time. Having spoken to anglers who fished either side of your week, we have to refute your comment that this 'is not a safe place to go', but we are truly sorry that the trip ended in this way for you.

General Comments:

I’m sure this lake hasn’t always been the way it is currently and has some good fish in there, if something isn’t done about the amount of rats it’s going to be more than a bit of damaged equipment that people will be talking about.
