General Comments:

Nice fishery, good amenities, I think there is quite a lot of catfish in here

Details of your catches:

Not many fish were caught as the fish looked like they were getting ready to spawn but we did catch a few, 5x 50lb with the best going 57lb 10oz and a few smaller carp

Tiger nuts were the best bait

The facilities were better than expected as we have fished this venue many times but not since 2019 so they have been upgraded since then

Would highly recommend Angling Lines, we have been using you for many years now and nothing is a bother if you need to change anything or need to know anything etc

Yes, fishing was tough as it was cold and wet. Very difficult and inactive water. Weather turned as we left so next week should be on them big time.

Cell pop up, all fish caught were on cell except one on white krill

Facilities were good especially showers, no outdoor BBQ took our own

The venue could be very good, two swans are on the lake, the male was very aggressive, attacks bait boats constantly, damaged one of ours. Spit was unfishable due to the swans nesting on there, this was not relayed to us before, BE CAREFUL using your boats we lost a lot of time waiting for the swans to move to get rigs out

Angling lines were good very, little info shared from lake owners prior to arrival, no mention of the swans hence this review

General Comments:

Wouldn’t return unfortunately the lake has massive potential
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We have spoken to the anglers currently fishing this week and they report that there are two swans present but are generally not causing disruption. The male swan does follow the bait boat and has made one attempt to attack it, although it has not been unmanageable. We hope the swans will not cause too much of an issue but unfortunately, the owner cannot remove them as they are part of the natural environment. As far as the owner is aware they are not currently sitting on eggs so there is a good chance they will move on naturally in due course.
