Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Finely balanced double tiger nuts drilled out with cork and a popup fake corn as a topper. On a Ronnie or German, boillie caught cats and the 51lb mirror.
Go to small baits and bream all day. More fish caught during daytime on silt than gravel. Although bites were missed from shallow bars for some reason. Three cats lost.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities was good, shower good and plenty of fridge and freezer space, kettle, toaster and two rings added.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, ran out of water one night at dusk so sent message to owner who replied within a minute, water back on within 15 mins.

General Comments:

Although fishing hard we couldn't get on spit as to weedy and shallow, plus water very warm we still managed PBs each. Stuck to the deeper areas as that was productive. Saw lots of comments about rats and its clear the owner has been working on this issue, only one rat seen in whole week.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were absolutely perfect, run out of water one afternoon and was refilled within 1 hour

Were you happy with them?

Yes 100% plenty of fridge and freezer space.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes 100%. We fished the lake in warm conditions with no problem with access to the spit, would be challenging in the winter months.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes 100%, we decided to come home on the Friday night and Angling lines adjusted the Ferry times perfectly.

General Comments:

All the fish caught were in lovely condition and were lovely in colour, the big surprise was the 73.1lb Mirror what a stunning carp, unfortunately for me I didn’t catch her. My friend Matt had a fishing trip of a life time landing 19 carp from the list above and obviously the big girl.
Sophie was a fantastic host from start to finish.
We had a fantastic trip and will return next year.

Carp was caught on S7 from DNA.
Cats were from some spicey sausage Halibut pellets.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were perfect for a drive and survive, couldn't fault them at all. When the water ran out Sophie the owner was straight on it and was an excellent host.

Catfish were caught on spicy sausage halibut pellets and krill wafter. Carp fell to tigernut with corn topper.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Perfect facilities for a drive and survive, fridges and chest freezer being a added bonus for bait and food. Showers always hot.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, perfect. Even when the water run out Sophie was on the ball to get the water refilled straight away.

General Comments:

All round brilliant from start to finish, Angling Lines very cooperative with any questions asked etc, the venue was brilliant, Sophie was brilliant with any questions asked or anything required, pictures didn't do it justice in my eyes.
No sign of any rats which was a main concern of mine but all round brilliant and will return in the future.
