Details of your catches:

66 fish in total to 50-08lb. 6 forties, 35 thirties, lots of twenties mostly.

Grass carp, couple of doubles and a few cats to 54lb. Too many bream. The fish spawned for the last 2 days of the trip which knocked the fishing on the head.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All tactics produced fish, if the fish were in front of you big beds of bait worked well including particles and boilies.

Solid pva bags fished along with a spread of bait also worked well.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were better than expected for a drive and survive trip.

Were you happy with them?

Yes.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, already have.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Great venue for a trip to France, although it can accommodate 8 anglers, I think 4 would make for a better fishing experience.

Details of your catches:

We caught 72 fish a total weight of 2200 lb just short of a ton including 2 x 50s: 56.1 (a new lake record) and a 52.8, 9 x 40s: 2 x 48s, 47.8, 43.8, 43, 42.1, 42, 41 and 40.8, 26 x 30s, 31 twenties and upper doubles + 4 small cats.

Four of us had PBs.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We all caught on a variety of boiles Dynamite baits did very well, most of us fished a handful of boilies over a small bed of seed, none of us used any mass baiting . The lake record was caught anti blow back rig which seemed to work well.

General Comments:

This was our fourth visit to Beaurepaire, the lake was totally different to the same time last year when it continually rained and the spit was under water. This year the spit was well out of the water at summer levels, it was hot and the fish were spawning.

Most of our fish were caught during the day and we all felt bait boats were a big advantage. After a few beers some silly bugger suggested that if one of us were to catch a lake record they should be made to streak the full length of the far bank and I can tell you now it’s a long way just wearing your boots and hat with paparazzi chasing you

Details of your catches:

99 carp over 1300 kilos of carp. Biggest was 53.10 and average was 31/32lbs.
3 new PB's within the group, I personally had 4 other 40's, and several other 40's caught too.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Conditions were favourable with the wind to the side nearest to facilities which fished best.
Mixture of boillies and particle with heavy baiting worked very well. Mostly using snowman set up.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. Better than expected

Were you happy with them?

Yes, really good venue

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, would go back

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Police seemed proactive on the speeding in the area. So advice to anybody visiting supermarkets etc beware!
