Boilies. Didn't use too much as they were not on the feed.

General Comments:

Fish were crashing out all over but not on the feed.

Details of your catches:

4 cats from 8lb to 45lb. 3 grass carp from 16lb to 22lb and 14 mirror carp from 15lb to 35lb all hard fighting fish in excellent condition.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Cell boilies over groundbait and pellets. Set up with the wind blowing into your bivvy door and the fish will be in your area. If you are not catching then move swims.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were good. Shower toilet freezer microwave and hob.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, however it could benefit from a step to help to get in/out of the shower. For less able bodied anglers this would be a problem. A seperate shower/toilet would make life easier also.

General Comments:

A very nice venue with great looking hard fighting carp. The owner and his english speaking daughter were very helpful and friendly and provided free drinking water for all anglers. Bakers in the village and a decent supermarket 10 kilometers away.

Aprox 15 carp to 27.12 and 5 cats to 23.09

move to the wind, fish on bed of bait. Boilies were best bait (both species)

General Comments:

Easy to fish venue. Be aware of snags in drop off. Plenty of features below water. Friendly owners. We would have caught many more fish if we had moved sooner

Details of your catches:

we caught 15 carp to 44lb inclulding to 2x40s a 30lb grass carp and 5 catfish to 57lb which is a new lake record.

the catfish generally were caught on halibut pellet and the carp all fell to single boilie with with a small amount of freebies scatterd around.

General Comments:

we felt the fishing was slow as the temp was 30c every day with little wind.
Bernard and Fleur are great people and just leave you alone to get on with it, but if you have a problem they are only a phone call away.
