General Comments:

Great venue the catch a lot of carp, good for social groups (when the spit is dry).
No snags no weed so easy to catch fish.

yes but needs an electric oven in lodge to help with cooking when lake is booked out exclusive apart from that its all clean tidy

General Comments:

lake was very high up about 8 foot in total and dropped about 3 foot in the week we were there so just bear this in mind the spit was unfishable as it was covered in water mozzis were a pain so take plent of spray lots of wildlife lizzards birds of prey ect lake dint fish well due to spawning and 38 degrees temps but came on on the friday when temps dropped owner brought hi bbq round for us and treated us to a champagne breaky on our last morning at his house

48 runs and 44 landed, 32 Carp all Mirrors. 7 x 40's 13 x 30's 11 x 20's 1 @ 16lb, 2 Grass Carp 19.8 & 24lb, 2 Catfish 12 & 37lb and 8 Bream.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Arrived to find the fish spawning in all the margins and the water level very high, so we choose to avoid the margins and fish the channel between the island and spit from the cabin end. Baited fairly heavy with pellet, spod mix and boillies (nutrabait big fish mix and cranberry) caught on bottom bait and snowmen.

Were the facilities what you expected?

the facilities were everything we expected and needed, the cabins had plenty of hot water for showering and toilet, 2 fridges and a chest freezer for bait and food, heating for drying anything, and extension lead with english plugs for charging batteries, Microwave and hob. A good boat for use if required.

Were you happy with them?

yes it had everything we needed for a weeks fishing, for me and my family.

yes I would recommend it to anybody, its a runs water but with big fish,

Yes I would recommend your services as you were very helpful and friendly, we changed our plans and added a trailer and overnight ferry from Hull and that was not a problem.

General Comments:

After reading the last two feedbacks we was not expecting much, We have had a fantastic weeks fishing, the owners and family are lovely people and they invited us to their house for coffee and cake and for our two boys to play in their garden, they could not do enough for us, we have had a great time and would definitely go back.

Yes, but spawning killed this lake for the time we were there the group before us (previous week) bagged up, but there was only 4 or 5 fish caught on the lake all week whilst we were there ,would go again but later to avoid disappointment.

Yes. easy to find a nice lake in general but not many features and a bit snaggy.,

Good all round quick and easy to find nice owners, shame about our timing re spawning,the owner said it was earlier than usual so would bear it in mind, but what can you do that's fishing.
