We have been before. went 2 yrs ago same week. very little had changed but fishing was better for me as I knew the lake a little. I had a 22lb a 20lb and 23lb grass carp. The second day I had a 25lb mirrror, 3rd day a 19lb grass and a 21lb mirror. 4th day nothing, 5th day a 24 and a 22lb mirror. 6th Day a 20lb mirror and a 31lb mirror. My friend caught approx 8 carp including a 30lb carp which is what he set out to get.

Caught on any bait. Boat or bait boat is a real advantage on this lake.

General Comments:

theres always hot water etc facilities good but basic. Owners are very helpful... It was nice to meet up with some friends (we diddn't know they would be there) but are keeping in touch re booking again in 2012.

Details of your catches:

30 or 40 carp... biggest was a 41lb mirror and the catch included 9 x 30lb+ and 2 catfish of 30lb and 37lbs VERY HOT DURING THE WEEK, WE THOUGHT THEY HAD JUST SPAWNED.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

had seen on feedback only 1 out the week before. So were a little apprehensive but we had a 37lber out within 2 hours! Used bait boats and just about half a kilo of particle with a single tiger on a hair. Boilies didn't see to work.

General Comments:

Owners were lovely, Bernard really nice and even showed us his private koi pond. We had no problems, the venue was just right for what we wanted. Would recommend.

Details of your catches:

20 x mirrors biggest 48.07oz. ( which was the new lake record caught by Paul Wilson) (included 3 x 40's and 6 x 30's).... 3 grass carp, biggest was 30.04oz, 1 catfish at 13lb and 3 bream. We lost quite a few fish and some very big catfish estimated at 40 to 50lb. Water level was below the spit and dropped 18

Most tactics and baits worked. Biggest came out to normal boilie.

General Comments:

When we were there the fish were still spawning and this had an effect. Bernard and Fleur absolutely great, sound bloke and would do anything for you.

Details of your catches:

Water levels high. Red hot weather and the spit was under water in the early part of the week but you could walk on it by the end of the week. Fish had started spawning by the time we got. 2 of us didn't catch but the other two did. best swims were by the shed and stright facing the facilities from the far end of the lake. They caught a mixture of cats and carp carp to 36lb. total number of carp was around 50 plus. Biggest cat was 34lb.

We caught on various baits and popped up maize. You can buy pigeon feed and maize in the supermarket at the local village Berry au Bac (turn right by the tank on the island) it was ridiculously cheap.

General Comments:

Lovely lake not as many carp out this time but weather spawning etc had a lot to do with it. Owner is a lovely chap and would recommend the lake.
