General Comments:

Lots of pike, mosquitos, ants + rats. Too many snags.

Details of your catches:

Between the 4 of us we had 81 carp, the smallest was 10lb and largest was 30lb. The average size was 18lb, each angler had at least 4 20lb plus fish during the week.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We used standard carp rigs, all seem to work.Snowman setup work well, a bright pop up with a fishmeal/meat based boilies. Fruit based boilie didn't work well. Fishing the method produced a few runs in the day, But the most productive bait was tiger nuts and pva bags of mixed pellets.

General Comments:

We had very good time and everyone enjoyed themselves, I would recommend this lake for a first time in france. The only downside is the lake's water level is very high in april, the lake looks different to the pictures on the website. It does make it slightly harder to fish when the water is up as there are lot more snaggs, take plenty of tackle!

4 nights fishing resulted in 70 Carp to 29lb. 12 x 20's. Bream to 7.5lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished from the spit and targeted various different areas in the lake. We floater fished, we float fished with paste and we ledgered boilies, trout pellets and large corn. All of the methods we tried resulted in fish. Largest float fished carp 23.5lb, largest floater fished 18lb.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The directions are simple & it is a very easy drive down. The shower facilities are perfect and we made use of the cooking facilities (not least of all to boil up a sack of hemp!)

General Comments:

This is our third year with Angling Lines. They organise a fantastic fishing holiday. This venue is packed full of fish, it has some fantastic swims on it. The carp are in good condition and can be caught on all methods all over the lake. We had a brilliant trip and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an easy to find water, easy to drive to, good facilities and a few screaming runs as well! We all had a great time and look forward to booking with Angling Lines again and again.
