General Comments:

Came away here for our anniversary, stunning place fished for 3 nights struggled for the first 48 hour only catching the odd bream, finally got the swim rocking feeding only 1 scoop of mixed particle each bite with critically balanced tiger nut. Sophie was very friendly and helpful stocking up all the fresh water and checking everyone was on before leaving. Angling Lines have been so helpful and accommodating. Thankyou. Rob and Lisa

60 fish in total with a few loses. 39 carp between 23 and 61lb 8oz. 11 grass carp between 23 and 52lb 10 catfish between 20 and 98lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tigernuts or cell boilies with small beds of party mix, and boilies boated out to the spots.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes very good. Plenty of fridge and freezer space for bait, food ect.

Were you happy with them?

Yes. Only down point was the water in the shower/sink did not smell good! Not sure if it was due to the lack of rain as its pumped and filtered from the water table.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes definitely. We had an unbelievable session for a runs water! So many pbs beaten!

Yes. Second angling lines lake I have been to and both have been great.

General Comments:

Amazing venue. We all fished from the spit which was great for a social. One side of the lake nearest the the showers/kitchen did not fish well but the other side was consistent for bites. The average size and condition of the carp was amazing.

General Comments:

great venue, BUT, as we are after the carp, the catfish are a real problem

Details of your catches:

I didn't catch due to injury to my shoulder on the day after arrival. Alex caught a good selection of carp to 43lb, catfish to 65lb and bream too slimey to weigh but a good slab size and one 4-5lb pike.

As above, I did not fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Very good, with most of everything needed being supplied. Because of my difficulties in getting in and out of my bivvy due to the injury I was allowed to move my bed to the kitchen unit, which had heating installed as did the toilet/shower unit. Only two of us on the lake so there was never a problem of overuse etc. A really good venue.

Were you happy with them?

In everyway except the piped water colour looked to be pumped from the lake but plenty of drinking water was supplied by the owners. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. The piped water is pumped from the water table, then it is filtered at the level of the pump before being redistributed in the cabins for shower and toilet flushing. Depending on ground water conditions the water can have a colour tint to it but is filtered and safe for showering.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes! Highly recommended. A good venue with a cross section of fish. Easy to reach swims and good vehicle access. Facilities were good and the management of the site appeared to be thoughtful and supportive.

Said it all above. Apart from not being able to fish, seeing the success my son had, the variety of fish, the facilities and the site and swim access, the place was very good.
