General Comments:

The venue could be run better the bailiff wasn't here to meet us then when he did turn up literally stayed 5 mins and everything that he said was negative he told us we had little chance of catching use only none fish meal boilies mine came on squid, gave us no tips where to fish, the facilities were a car drive away. He's been down once more this week that in itself is unsatisfactory I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

*Angling Lines note* We have discussed this feedback with the bailiff Mark and we understand he was in contact with your group both before arrival and on the day to notify you that you were welcome to get set up when you arrived and he would be down later in the afternoon. He also noted he was at the lake for closer to an hour, not 5 minutes. Regarding the negativity, we understand Mark let you know the fish had spawned the week before and that we were due extremely hot weather (record breaking temperatures for France) which would make the fishing difficult, however we are sorry if this came across as overly negative. We urge anglers to use the bailiff's contact number provided if they wish for further advice at any time - whilst Mark does not live on site, he is only a phone call away. We do state on the website that there is a basic lakeside portaloo and that the rest of the facilities are at the farmhouse (approx 750m away).

General Comments:

Fishing was not easy, find spots and had to be patient. All fish came at night nothing during the day. Fish were in fantastic condition and the place and wildlife is stunning. Mark the bailiff was on hand on our arrival and was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it that much we have rebooked for 2020.

Details of your catches:

My dad and me went as I am am only twelve. Fishing was slow due to fish spawning and by the end of the week me and my dad had eight fish with six of those being over 40lb. Our friend fished until Thursday and had five fish.

We found that we caught on pop up, balanced baits and bottom baits.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were great they had fridges, fresh water, toilets and nice warm showers

Were you happy with them?

We meet the bailiff on Saturday when we arrived and he was very nice and helpful.

Yes, the lake is great for all ages as you are very likely to catch.

Yes, I didn’t book the trip my dad did and he said that they were brilliant

Very slow to start off. Tried numerous different methods. Best tactic in the end was double bottom bait fished snowman style and single bottom baits with a small yellow topper.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were OK. Shower was very nice with constant hot water. Fridge and freezer are plenty big enough for 4 people. Lakeside toilet, although looked a bit grim, once on the throne with the door open the view was amazing. Haha

Were you happy with them?

Yes very. The shower and fridge etc. could be a bit closer
