It was a hard week
Both fish came from bollie bottom bait
But tried many other tactics to entice without success

Yes - 2nd visit

Were you happy with them?

Yes - very basic but toilet and shower both good and adequate
Charging points in cabin (both English and French points available but need to take own adaptors)
No fridge or freezer on site but local supermarket within 10 minute drive and easy to get too.

Yes - fished this venue last year in May and came away with a pb over 50lb
The venue is great - good swims , excellent fish in good condition
Frank and Mark very helpful and friendly

General Comments:

The fishing was tough with hot temperatures throughout visit
Water depth was low 2 - 2 and half feet deep (about a foot lower than normal)
Despite the lack of action this week and conditions not being ideal for fishing will definitely return for another visit in 2019

2nd year back from a week in France @ Brocard Large, well what can I say apart from it was a cracking week with the lads even though I only had 3 fish and no one come away on a blank. All new French p.b’s. I was going really well the first 2 days in and thought this is it, it’s on, but sadly it dropped right off by my birthday and losing 4 fish for the rest of the week I manage to land a 50.4 grass carp first ever 50 & 21.3 koi and 30.4 linear

Hemp and corn mix in a boat do not wade out pushed the fish way

Pop ups on ronnie rigs caught the fish. We tried flat out bottom baits and snowmen but to no avail. We also failed to get a bite on tigernuts which have caught us fish in the past

Yes, great as always and 24 hour electricity is now available in the cabin

I have lost track of the number of trips with Angling Lines now over the last fourteen or so years and the service provided has always been impeccable.

General Comments:

Tough week, lost a few fish but no excuses. We enjoyed the week immensely and noticed that average weight of what we did catch was up on past years, so the future looks bright at Brocard. Franck was a gent as always (you couldn't wish for a better bailiff) and it was nice to catch up with Mark too.

General Comments:

Had a really good week considering bad fishing conditions, Franck the bailiff was spot on as usual. I read in an earlier feedback comment someone struggled with understanding his english can I just say his english is much better than my French and I found no problems in communication, he will bend over backwards to help in anyway he can. This goes for Mark Slade also you couldn't ask for better bailiffs, I would recommend this venue to anyone
