We had over 30 fish between us water level down due to the drought so made fishing tricky in places.
The fish were absolutely fantastic too top condition brilliant mouths and wow did they ruck!
Gary was excellent coming round and giving us advice on the lake and the benefit of his extensive knowledge.
Ang and Gary along with George were great hosts, everything was just as it should be with the facilities.
The other massive win with this venue is the food package it was fantastic and a nice cold beer or glass of wine with it was spot on.

Lots of tactics worked from pub chucking singles after late arrival on 1st night to bait to solid bags all caught though bigger fish meal bottom bait did have the edge overall.

It was a quiet week on the lake despite the fantastic efforts of Gary and George. The carp just “switched off” for a while. We managed 11 carp up to 35 lb plus and one small catfish between 3 of us.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Mix of snowman rigs using Gary and Ange’s boilies and also single wafters, and perseverance 😁

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were excellent, the shower hot and spotless, the kitchen was clean. The best we have had whilst fishing in France over the years.

Were you happy with them?

We were very happy throughout the stay.

Absolutely, a lovely setting and we were made to feel so welcome.

General Comments:

Gary, Ange and George are fantastic hosts, friendly, informative and gave up their time to give advice on tactics. The lake went quiet with warm weather and high pressure but they never gave up trying to maximise our potential to catch some fish. They were the best hosts we have ever had when fishing over here. We will definitely be booking again for next year.

76 carp from 9lb to 39lb 11oz's, 14 catfish to 38lb 6oz's, and a grass carp at 29lb

Pva stocking with a half a dozen boilies on mainly snowman rigs, we just fished for bites, we struggled for the first couple of days, basically started with wrong tactics

Clean and tidy, no issues or complaints, all good

Lovely owners, always on hand if you need anything, great food package, good quality hot meals, highly recommended

General Comments:

A good water to catch fish, lovely surroundings, nature all around the lake, supermarket and nearest town/village not far away, about 10/15mins, lovely surrounding areas, spotlessly clean, puts England to shame!!!

The hosts Gary, Ange and Georgie boy were fantastic all week. The food was absolutely fantastic. The host’s were more than accommodating and helped in anyway they could possibly could as the Fishing was quite hard.
