4 fish lost
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Finding the shallow spots on the bars, take Marks advice and let the fish tell you where to fish for them.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes everything you would expect for a French fishing trip.
Were you happy with them?
Yes
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, but this is not an easy lake and is more suited to the more experienced angler.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes angling Lines are great, easy to book with and love that you can pay off monthly interest fee!
General Comments:
Temps were beyond ridiculous but you can’t control the weather! Sadly we lost 2 fish that felt very good but that’s fishing!
I expect the lake will fish a lot better next week when the cooler weather rolls in.

Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes and No. As I’d been last year, I knew what we had, but was expecting the shower to be better this year, instead it was worse, shower head was pure mist and struggled to wash soap off the body, once we’d been told where the other shower head was, the pressure was better. Shower tray had a big crack in it, so we had to be careful where to stand.
Were you happy with them?
No
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
I wouldn’t, I really couldn’t wait to get back as the venue is stunning, but it needs work. Cabin peg needs work, not easy getting into the water, there’s no hard ground, just silty areas that you sink into. We had two dead carp, one had been there a long time already and the other wasn’t collected until 4 days into our trip, even after messaging the first day about them, by then with the high temps that fish had exploded and was stinking.
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We have discussed your comments with bailiff Mark. Regarding the shower, after Mark was contacted he advised where a spare shower head was located, which improved the water pressure once fitted. Although the shower tray does have a crack, this does not affect its use. Unfortunately, this type of repair work can only be carried out during the winter closure due to back to back bookings throughout the season. Regarding the dead fish, unfortunately losses can occur during warmer periods. The bailiff dealt with this as soon as he was able to, although we understand the delay was frustrating, especially during the high temperatures.

*Bailiff note* We feel that Evaro offers the facilities typically expected of a drive and survive fishing venue - our facilities description on the website is up to date.

Shower and toilet in same cabin as the fridge and kitchen
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Amazing place, big fish, just too hot to fish in 40' heat.

General Comments:
This is my second time here and we love the place, it’s definitely not for the faint hearted. It’s by far not a runs water and you need to put the graft in to get rewarded, its my kind of fishing I’m used to. It’s deep, loads of features and can be head banging at times, I have unfinished business there and won’t stop going until the big girls in the net 💪🏻
