Details of your catches:
High temperatures resulted in a very slow and not very productive week. 14 fish in total, biggest 48lb.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Plumb boilies, pop ups fished over pellet
Were the facilities what you expected?
Facilities very limited.
*Bailiff note* We feel that Evaro offers the facilities typically expected of a drive and survive fishing venue - our facilities description on the website is up to date.
Were you happy with them?
Shower and toilet in same cabin as the fridge and kitchen
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Amazing place, big fish, just too hot to fish in 40' heat.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Great well organised trip.

General Comments:
This is my second time here and we love the place, it’s definitely not for the faint hearted. It’s by far not a runs water and you need to put the graft in to get rewarded, its my kind of fishing I’m used to. It’s deep, loads of features and can be head banging at times, I have unfinished business there and won’t stop going until the big girls in the net 💪🏻

Apart from angling lines changing the tunnel crossing multiple times it was quite easy.
General Comments:
Cabin could do with a major overhaul.
Shower didn’t work for the first 3 days. (Much better after it was fixed)
The cabin wasn’t cleaned before our visit which was disappointing. 2 dead fish which wasn’t removed for 3/4 days. This is poor fishery management leaving them in the 40 degree heat to fester and rot. Also the smell was horrific.
(Fish die especially this time of year)
But not even making an effort to remove them isn’t great. Lake is lovely apart from that
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We have discussed the points raised with the bailiff, Mark. He has confirmed the cabin was cleaned prior to your arrival, however we are sorry to hear it did not meet your expectations. When the shower issue was reported, Mark advised where a spare shower head was located, which improved the water pressure once fitted. Regarding the dead fish, unfortunately fish losses can occur during periods of very hot weather. The bailiff removed them as soon as he was able, although we acknowledge this was not as quickly as you would have liked. With regards to the Eurotunnel crossings, the travel times only changed following the vehicle amendments requested before departure. We always try to retain the original crossings where possible, however availability can change quickly and some requested departures were no longer available once the vehicle details had been updated - we’re really sorry about this as we always aim for the booking experience to be faultless.

We had a good few carp out biggest being 47lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
There are some very big carp in Evaro so your gear has to be strong. Knot strength is vital, sharp barbless hooks and 5+ ounce leads to bed them hooks right in because there's weed. The carp will use the weed to do ya. Ditch backleads and bow string it straight to the spot. The carp are clued up... use a sonar on your baitboat to find clear spots. Get plenty of well soaked sweet freezer baits on then and they will feed well. Night bites mostly. Please read the lake rules and stick to them. The carp there are absolutely stunning creatures and massive, please take good care of them, let then have line be patient. Play your cards right and you will do well... I should charge for this info lol... enjoy... Also Mark the bailiff is a top bloke who gives great tips n advice.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes the facilities are fine everything works as it should. Nice tall freezer to use
Were you happy with them?
Yes the facilities are adequate, there's plenty of charging sockets and a first aid kit
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
100% yes... only sensible well behaved friends though
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
100% yes
General Comments:
Angling Lines are fantastic and its clear to see they put alot of effort into choosing top quality venues. Evaro alone is proof of that. A carpers dreams can come true there becasue the fish are simply mint and massive😁
