Heart Lake Facilities

The lodge at Heart Lake provides comfortable lakeside accommodation for up to six guests, with space for four people in two bedrooms or an additional two guests using the sofa-bed. Ideally located just 30 metres from the closest swim, it offers the perfect combination of comfortable living and convenient access to the fishing.

Swim one is located directly in front of the lodge, accessed via a flight of steps. For anglers with good mobility, it is possible to sleep within the accommodation with your rods out.

The lodge features two bedrooms: one double and one twin, along with an open-plan lounge and dining area. The living space includes a comfortable sofa (which converts into a sofa-bed if required), dining table, well-equipped kitchen and a wood-burning stove, making it a cosy retreat during the cooler months.

The kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, crockery, dishwasher, gas hob and children's high chair. Please note that there is no oven.

The shower and toilet facilities are located in a separate building just 20 metres from the lodge, across the driveway. The water supply comes from a nearby well, which is tested annually and certified safe for drinking.

Outside facilities
Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious terrace directly in front of the lodge, with a dining area overlooking the peaceful surroundings. The nearby children's play area is a real highlight, featuring a charming sailing boat converted into a sand pit - perfect for imaginative games and family fun. There is also a boules court and many games available to use. Two bicycles are available for guests to use free of charge.

Up at the lake you have a further decking area directly behind the main swim, with BBQ, fridge and worktop area. There's a dining table and sun loungers here too. It is a very comfortable space to relax for anglers and non-anglers alike.

Optional extra costs
Towels and sheets are not provided so you're best bringing your own. However sheets can be rented if required for 12e per person, just contact the owners once booked. Pellets for the wood burning stove can also be purchased on site if you wish to use this, 10e for a 15kg bag.

Local area
Whilst the lake is nestled into the countryside, it is still conveniently located just a 10 minute drive (4 miles) from the local town of Les Herbiers which has supermarkets, restaurants and bars.

For non-anglers, there's so much to do in this area of France and the beach is under an hour away.
