Far margin wafters and snowman rigs. Don´t use fishmeal, couldn´t get a bite on fishmeals. Go for a sweet bait!!

Yes very easy to use and very helpful when we needed to change crossing time and vehicle.

General Comments:

The lake is very shallow 2-4ft and bait boats highly recommended. Any lead cast will plug into clay and be very hard to get out. The lake being shallow the fish will kite left or right so backleads were required to stop us getting wiped out on every fish.

Yes. They were being renovated while I was there which was a bit frustrating but now they’re done they look good.

General Comments:

I was there for 12 nights and the temperatures on the first week were up to 17 degrees and the fish responded and the fishing was good.
However the temperatures plummeted the second week, which culminated in the lake freezing over for the final 48 hours and the fish went back into winter mode and fishing was difficult. But that’s the chance you take when taking up the winter special offers.
5 carp up to 52lb in February was more than I’d hoped for. Mark the Bailiff is a top bloke.

We had a fantastic week for our first ever time visiting the Jonchery complex. This time opting for Jonchery 8. I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to Mark for all of his help and welcoming upon arrival. Everything about the complex was absolutely spot on and I would highly recommend Jonchery to anyone looking for a french holiday venue!

The lake itself was spotless and such a lovely place to spend a weeks fishing!

We managed 34 carp through the week up to 54lb 40z including numerous 20's, 30's and 40's! This was topped off with a couple of 30/40lb catfish too.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We found that the fish certainly love the bait in there, going through 40kg boilies, 25kg pellet, 20kg particle and 10kg corn through the week. Simple wafter rigs fished to the far margin done 90% of the bites.

Facilities were spot on, showers, toilet, fridges and freezer. Everything you could ask for from a holiday venue.

Yes most definitely.

110% would recommend Jonchery to anyone looking for a venue for an up and coming trip. Fish are absolutely immaculate and a lot are certainly not your 'typical French fish'. With some lovely clean commons and scaly mirrors to go at, Jonchery should definitely be on your list!
