General Comments:

Mark and his wife are great. Mark would do anything for you, we took the food package which was ok and plenty of.
I was pretty annoyed really, a few weeks before the trip I text Mark asking was there any crays and did we need to wrap baits, his answer was no just bring hard hookbaits. Which we took hard hookers, when got to the lake he told us we needed to wrap our baits because of the small stuff pecking the baits but from day 1 it was obvious that there was crays. There's no way small fish would take wrap off your baits. He also said use big baits which we did and still caught tench and small carp. He told us to pile the bait in which we did first 2 days with little action because the fish was down the other end of the lake. And didn't move all week. We also fished spots he told us. After day two we done our own thing, found new spots and little bait approach and started catching. So don't always follow what Mark says. Pilling bait in don't always result in more fish. If your on fish then you could use a lot of bait but we wasn't. Too many tench and small carp and a lot of crays. We pay alot of money and travel to go. It needs to be put up on the website tench and crays in lake so people can be prepared for the lake instead of finding out at the lake and gotta buy things at silly money.

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We have actioned your point regarding the lake description and appreciate the conditions this summer have made this more prevalent but glad you still had some very decent carp including a 50lb'er on the bank. All advice given is only ever done with the best interest of anglers at heart - everyone at Jonchery wants anglers to catch well and have a good holiday.
