The lakeside gite sleeps up to four people and is included in the cost of your holiday. However, there is also a second gite, which can be hired additionally, just 60m across the lawn. This gite sleeps a further four people. This means a total of eight people can comfortably holiday at this venue. 

The venue is connected to the mains water supply, making the water safe to drink. It also has its own gated driveway and a large lawned area for barbecues, sunbathing, games and drying washing. Guests also have access to children’s play equipment and a table tennis setup, adding extra fun and entertainment to your stay. 

Swimming Pool

There is fantastic swimming pool on site which you are very welcome to use (please note; this is not exclusive to your party - it may at times also be used by the owners and/or other guests if you have not opted to hire the second accommodation too). The pool is open from the beginning of April between 10am and 7pm daily, but is not heated. 

Hot tub

There is a hot tub available for your private use, located on the terrace of the lakeside gite. To hire the hot tub is 60e for the week. The hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled for your arrival. Please let us know in advance if you want to hire this. 

The Lakeside Gite

The lakeside gite sits just 10m from the water. The patio is complete with dining table and seating area, providing the perfect location for non-anglers to lounge whilst watching the action on the lake.

It is possible to have your rods out whilst sleeping in the lakeside gite if you have a receiver, as you are able to fish directly in front of the accommodation.

The lakeside gite is all on one level and has an open plan kitchen and lounge.

Kitchen - You'll find a table & 4 chairs where you can enjoy breakfast watching the wildlife around the lake. Appliances include a gas cooker/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, all pots/pans/cutlery and a nice size fridge/freezer. Next to the gite, the utility room includes a BBQ, extra fridge, bait freezer, ironing board, iron, toilet, shower, and a shared token-operated washing machine.

Lounge - 3 seater settee & 2 chairs plus a footstool, large lamp, English TV & WiFi (but this isn't the best due to our semi rural location), 3g/4g coverage however is also generally good here.

Bathroom - Large shower, toilet, double sink & large mirror

Bedroom 1 - Double bed overlooking the lake, two bedside tables with lamps, hanging unit for clothes & shoes

Bedroom 2 - Double bed, bedside table with lamp, wall mirror, hanging unit for clothes & shoes

All bedding is provided, alongside bath towels and hand towels, you will need to bring your own pool towels. The owners live on site and whilst they will leave you to enjoy your holiday, it does mean they are on hand if anything is required.

You can also book the second two-bedroomed gite, which sits just 60m across the lawn from the lake and sleeps up to four.

Kitchen - Dining table & four chairs, gas cooker & hob, microwave, toaster, steamer, saucepans/frying pans, kettle & coffee machine plus all cutlery, fridge freezer & dishwasher. 

Lounge - Two seater settee and one chair, coffee table, lamp, cupboard containing reading books, large TV (English) & radio, electric heaters & electric fire.

Toilet - separate from the bathroom.

Bathroom - Jack & Jill accessible from both bedrooms, double sink, shower, washing machine.

Bedroom 1 - Double bed, two bedside tables with lamps, set of drawers, hanging unit for clothes/shoes, one wicker chair and a mirror.

Bedroom 2 - Two single beds, bedside table with lamp, one wicker chair, one set of drawers and hanging unit for clothes & shoes.

All bedding is provided, alongside bath towels and hand towels, you will need to bring your own pool towels.

Conservatory overlooking the lake - Wicker two seater sofa & two chairs, coffee table. Patio doors leading onto patio overlooking the lake with corner wicker furniture, round table and four chairs. 

Please note; if you visit us in the winter (between 1st of November through till the 1st April) there is an additional supplement for heating which is €30 per week. This is to be paid in euros upon arrival please.

Things To Do In The Area

We are situated in the beautiful Dordogne, between the two towns of Montpon and Mussidan. You can find numerous shops (including a fishing tackle shop), bars and restaurants at both of the towns. The local market takes place every Wednesday morning. Pretty medieval villages abound in this region.

The city of Bordeaux has everything you could need and is very easy to get to with the park and ride system or by train from Montpon or Mussidan hourly. 

On the outskirts of Bergerac there is an aqua park, ten pin bowling and go karts to keep the kids happy.

If wine is your thing then the following wine growing vineyards are on our doorstep; Perigeux, Bergerac, Monbazillac, Saussignac, Saint Emillion & Bordeaux.
