About the Lake
There are four swims around the 4 acre lake and the lake is best suited for up to 3 anglers (4 at a push). Two of the swims are quite close on the far bank so very social if that is the way you wish to fish. The banks themselves are a mixture of open grass areas and tree lined, with some boarded wooden platforms. It is also possible to fish from directly outside the lakeside accommodation.
The lake is spring-fed and 6-8 feet in depth all over, carp are landed from the platforms as the depth falls quickly from the edge of the lake. There are a couple of small lilybeds in the centre of the lake which provide features to fish to. It is all fairly straightforward Carp fishing France, with very little in the way of weed or snags to complicate things.
There is the odd crayfish, which have not caused anglers any major issues, and no poisson chat. You can use bait boats (one can be hired from the lake if required) and the lake has a small rowing boat (lifejackets provided) which can be used responsibly by anglers with prior consent.
