Details of your catches:

20 bream, tench
12 carp ranging from 20lb to 41lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Double 20mm boillies to avoid bream.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes clean, hot showers, but only one toilet, could do with another. Dangerous step outside toilet needs to be safer.

Were you happy with them?

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes would recommend, will return.
But note to owners. It would be better if cars do not constantly drive round to toilets or showers!
We ordered a boat as being in swim 11, really needed for snags, but these were all given out when we arrived. We were told not before 2pm arrival… other anglers were bivvied up already when we arrived. Also bailiff said ring any problems or need anything, we wanted bait on Wednesday but told wouldn’t be until Friday as they only come round every other day.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Overall good lake, needs a few things sorting. Too many bream.

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We have discussed all points raised with the owner, the issue with the boat should not have happened and will not in the future - they apologise for this, and note they were able to supply a back-up boat for your week but acknowledge it was not the same type as the rest. The bailiff does visit every other day as they have other lakes they manage too, if last minute extra bait is needed it can only be delivered on these days unfortunately.

Details of your catches:

Lost count on the amount of fish. Fish up to 47lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom and pop up both worked

Were the facilities what you expected?

Very good.....I think the only comments I could leave would be that they need an extra loo and that they also need to replace the brick being used as a step into the showers and loo with a proper step. I twisted my ankle when coming out of the toilet as the loose brick moved when I stood on it.

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for letting us know, we will pass this on to the owner.

Details of your catches:

We all had a great time and had 73 carp between us

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

When they in front of your swim any bait works

Were the facilities what you expected?

Toilet and showers fine, fridge and freezers great

Were you happy with them?

Happy with everything, good facilities and English charging points a bonus.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes would recommend to a friend.

Details of your catches:

4x doubles, 2 x 20s (26.4 & 26), 2x30s (34.12 Mirror & 33 Grass) & 40.12 Grass plus a few bream to 8lb!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishmeal Boilie over lake particles and pellet fished at distance.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, block including WC, hand basins, shower, fridges and power points.

Were you happy with them?

Yes they were clean during our visit. The WC cubicle was small and we felt that if the lake was fully booked was probably inadequate. Perhaps a male and female cubicle.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes. A bait boat or use of a boat is essential to place baits in the margin swims or at extreme distance.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes. Friendly and efficient.

General Comments:

We liked the venue. It is safe, relatively quiet and peaceful (a few boy racers on the road) and close to a decent supermarket. Bait was good quality but boilies and pellet expensive compared to UK. The particle mix was good value. No silly over complex rules although not using braid when distance fishing is inevitable should be reviewed (with appropriate leader or tubing) We met two of the bailiffs who were friendly and informative. The angle of the bank in swims 9, 8 and 7 limits the amount of water and makes these swims tight doubles - compared to the others available. The photo with swims shown is my assessment of the water available, this would need verification with AL or the owner.
