Details of your catches:

I had 21 fish for the week on peg 10. 4 x doubles, 7 x 20s, 7 x 30s, 2 x 40s, 1 x 50.
My mate in peg 11 had 26 fish for the week, he also had 2 upper 40s that went 48.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I found 18mm wafters best fished on heli drop of systems. You have to drop your leads on this water it’s an absolute must. There are some serious bars out and a lot of snags in the margins. All my fish were caught on a bar out near the buoys, roughly 150/160 yards.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes very clean and tidy, 4 massive fridges, 2 for each side of the lake and a huge chest freezer for each side of the lake. Plenty of power points aswell for people taking bait boats ect.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would but the margin snags need addressing and so do the high volume of bream in the place.

General Comments:

Way to many bream in the place. I had 17 bream over the course of the week and I just don’t think them sort of numbers are welcome when you are carp fishing, especially in France. The bream problem definitely needs addressing, i think in total for the week with 6 angler’s roughly 100 bream were caught, not small ones either so you knew they were absolutely wiping your baited spots out. Some of the fish were also in appalling condition. Talking upper 30s and 40s with damaged mouths and lips missing. I'm pretty certain this is due to the serious amount of snags in all the margins in every single swim in the lake. Every tree canopy needs chopping a few feet above water line and everything getting dragged out. We went through serious amounts of end tackle over the week and quiet a few fish lost to these snags. If this was sorted out this place could honestly be one of the top fisheries on angling lines books for the future. The place could be something very special. There are some cracking fishing in there though, I'm not slating the place I just feel a lot can be done to not only make the fish safety better but in turn make it a better fishery. Take all the snags out in the margins and you will find the fish will move around more.

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we will pass all your suggestions on to Sebastien. The bream are certainly something that didn't come up as a problem until now - Sebastien is now setting up a system to remove these from the lake.

General Comments:

Lepinet is a good size lake a bait boat or boat would be useful to take for long range work. The facilities are excellent for a drive and survive. The area of France is very picturesque and there are some excellent shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The fish I caught had large fins and tails for their size so put up a really good fight and strong good tackle would be recommended.
