Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom baits over large bed of pellet and boilies. Listen to Frank the bailiff as he knows the best spots. Fishing the silt seemed to work best.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes as had read various reviews, basic but adequate. Always hot water and room in fridge and freezer and English sockets for charging.

Yes, lovely lake with big fish. Snaggy in places.

General Comments:

Enjoyed the lake more than what I thought I would and would return. Factory nearby can be noisy but didn't bother us too much. Frank the bailiff was nice and left you alone but also was there if you needed advice on the lake. Not always sure on Barbless hook rule but think its a must in this lake as better for fish welfare due to the snags if you do snap off.

What a fantastic week, I had 5 x 40s to 48.3 along with another 15 x 30s to 36.1, one sturgeon, 15plus lost a few to hook pulls. My son had a 45lb sturgeon along with 15 x 30s to 34lb, losing a masive fish at the net ???? Easily a 50, what a great water.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Cell boilies and loads of them got through 30kg, stick to one spot and feed constantly, short hook link, double hook bait.

Yes but there was no microwave

Approx 50+ fish to the group. 2 x 50lb Carp, 6 x 40lb Carp, 22 x 30lb Carp. Multiple sturgeon between 50lb & 115lb & cats between 30lb & 45lb. Small number of large bream & even a good size perch, all on the boilie..

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Mixed results between open water, snags & margins. Pellet & particle absolutely brings in the sturgeon.

YES - been before, so no surprises. Facilities basic but functional.

YES, although could do with a tad more freezer space.

Frank is very knowledgeable & friendly. The venue is a good size & perfect for an exclusive booking of around 10 people. We will be back in 2017.

General Comments:

I would like to take this time out to say a massive thank you to angling lines as they were most kind for really looking after me and really making me feel welcome. After fishing a few well know venues in northern France I really wanted to set about fishing for them really special ones and angling lines really does tick that box. I fished vaumigny for 1 week and the place was just amazing really wild and set in the heart of beauty, after speaking to a few of the lads around the lake was really fishing well. After going out in the boat for a few hours there wasn't much in spots as it was all pretty much the same, around 8ft and hard silt. After getting all set up I decided to get the rods out on the spot and fish really tight but accurate. And the takes really come fast the first night I had 3 fish up to 37 so to get of the mark on a new water I was chuffed. A change in the weather came and the wind was pushing in a warm southerly and the fish had moved off the spot after still baiting and keeping my lines out the water in the day time the fish finally pushed back into the area after the angling pressure forced them to move. I then had 3 more fish to 39 mirror, I was very happy with this result and walked away very happy. The facilities are very good they do the job and the water is nice and hot. I really would rate Vaumigny 10 out of 10 for pure quality and amazing scenery
