We are frequent visitors to this Lake and the facilities whilst basic are adequate

Were you happy with them?

Yes, However the shower water had a slight colour & odour due to the siqnificant rainfall in the weeks proceeding our visit

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes without hesitation. This was our 5th or 6th visit since 2009 and we will consider visiting again in the future

Angling Lines had kept us fully updated on this trip throughout the pandemic and remain the leaders in the French fishing holiday market.

General Comments:

The water level was the highest we have witnessed, with the spit area being under water and therefore totally unfishable. All 4 of our party caught with x2 personal bests. Tony AKA the Birthday Boy a Mirror of 53lb and Mark a P.B Cat of 91lb 8oz

General Comments:

Had a great week, lovely lake and very good facilities. I caught some very nice fish, it was well worth going. Beaurepaire is so easy to get to from Calais. Sophie is an extremely pleasant lady and very helpful too.

15 Carp - 49.08, 49.02, 49, 44, 43.08, 41, 39.12, 39, 38.08, 38, 33.12, 32, 29, 28.08 and 24lb - 2 Personal bests amongst these
6 Catfish - 54.07, 50, 35, 32, 30 and 18lb - 1 Personal Best amongst these

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Nearly all the fish were caught on either snowman, single or double boilie bottom baits.
Mainline Cell accounted for all but 2 of the carp. The other 2 were caught on Monster Baits Monster Ice. Monster Baits Fruit Fusion caught the two 50lb cats

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were good and clean, (2 showers) both with plenty of space to change. 2 hobs to cook on with plenty of fridge and freezer space for bait, food and cold drinks.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, very happy with the facilities (much better than some non-Angling Lines venues I have visited - note to self - stick with Angling Lines)

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I most certainly would recommend the venue - Its a beautiful lake with some huge carp and bigger catfish so you're never to far away from a personal best here and expect a very warm welcome from the lovely Sophie (who speaks very good English). Supermarket (Carrefour), Tabaco shop, Chemist and Bank are 15 minutes away in Guignicourt.

Most definitely. I always feel your in safe hands with Angling Lines.

General Comments:

If you can, I'd recommend booking exclusively for 4 anglers, which would allow each angler to have a corner of the lake to themselves or better still, two anglers each end of the lake all fishing towards the middle. We all initially fished from the spit, but it wasn't until I moved to the corner furthest from the facilities that the fish started to move around the lake. I'd also avoid fishing tight lines from the spit to the corners of the lake as this also seemed to stop the fish moving around. Most of our fish came from half way.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Finding a decent sport, baiting accurately and being patient was the decider. Various tactics were used across all anglers.
Bait wise sweetcorn, chopped boilies and flavoured glug produced the most fish with wafters topped with corn.
Rigs used were Solid Bags, Spinner Rigs & D-Rigs.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were ok, this is a drive & survive venue so the facilities are what you would expect. Fridge, Freezers & Shower all worked fine and we're very much appreciated in the scorching heat that we had in the week that we were there.

Yes perfectly fine

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes we would recommend this venue to those who want to fish lake exclusive and not have to travel too far from Calais. The lake states up to 6 people which we made work, you could get 6 people on the point at a squeeze, but it would be difficult. To fish comfortably I would recommend no more than 4 people.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Absolutely, we were satisfied with everything and the communication throughout from Angling Lines, especially through lockdown with Coronavirus
