13 fish - 3 x 40's, 4 x 30's, 6 x 20's.
Some very hard fishing early on in the week, when it was wet and cold. More bites at the end of the trip as the weather improved.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We caught on dark Boilies ( Krill, ASM) and Pellets, in the deeper water around the far edges.
We fished 12 rods off the Spit, but caught most of the fish off the bank in front and to the left of the Spit.
We lost a few fish snapping off on the Ledges trying to bring them up from the deeper water. We were also snapped by Pike going through our lines chasing bait fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The Facilities were good. They were exactly what you require. Somewhere to cook and store food/Bait and a nice hot shower.

I would recommend this lake. The owners were very nice and helpful. The lovely warm pancakes brought down on one our wet and cold days were much appreciated.

Yes, all questions answers very quickly and no issue with the booking.

General Comments:

For those who enjoy a bit of float fishing and Perch/Piking, worth taking some gear as it was great sport in the quite times.

1 Mirror Carp 33.04lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tryed everything from bottom baits to pop up rigs, big baits, little baits. Heavy baiting to light baiting. Nothing seemed to work. In the end a ronnie rig topped and a PVA bag with pellet, tigets and crushed boilie got a bite on the last night.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, toilet and showers were clean, 3 fridges and a BIG chest freezer were great for keeping food fresh.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very much so

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would, although we only had 1 fish between 2 of us we know thats part of angling. Lake is in a nice area with shops 10 minutes away.

General Comments:

Sophie was loverly, areas nice. Has all the facilities you may need. I would definitely say that there is a swim that produces better then all the others. Would recommend. Wouldn't say its a runs water nor a big fish lake but overall happy with our trip

5 of us fished it had 25 in total biggest 46 mirror down to mid twenty common couple of grass carp 1 cat 2 bream !!

Go to carrefour supermarket stock up on beer and food and enjoy

Were the facilities what you expected?

Faculties were good !!! All you need apart from when your sat on the toilet and your alarm goes off it’s a bit of trek with your pants down by your ankles

Yes joking aside it was our first time going to France but we all loved it!! It’s a great social and would come back again!!

We go fishing to relax and unwind and I have asked others to send pictures which most did!!

Four of us fished,

Pete’s fish, 8 Mirror carp to 39-12, 2 Common carp to 27-4 and 1 Grass carp of 28-15 plus a few bream

Spatty, 3 Mirror carp to a PB of 42-08 and a kitten of 5lb

Nick, 6 Mirror carp to 42-15 and 2 cats, 1 @ 3lb and a 45-11,

Me, I had 3 Mirror carp to 37-6, 1 kitten of 5lb and 1 cat @ 68lb and a PB Grass carp of 46-05.

Fishing was slow but we all caught with patience and trying different tactics

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We tried everything we took with us, boilies, particles, pellets etc, cats came to pellets and couple of the carp too, trial and error was the order of the day. Lots of weed at this time of year which is understandable at this time of year after a hot summer, find the clear spots and you have a chance of a cracking fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were as we expected as we have been to this lake many times and they are perfectly adequate for us anglers.

Were you happy with them?

Yes we were, as I said, we have come to the lake to fish, we have not come to a spa, that is down the road near Bernard’s house, in fact this years addition of a new shower etc is an added bonus.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes we would, we have now fished the lake 7 times in the last 9 years, and most of us have all done our PB’s on here, the owner and his family are really friendly and extremely helpful, you are left to fish the lake and not pestered every few hours by the owners like some other lakes our group have fished.

Yes we would, we have used Angling Lines 8 times out of the last 9 that I have been with the group and they make the whole process from booking to fishing a doddle, thank you.

General Comments:

Many thanks to Angling Lines and to Bernard and his family. Especially Sophie who brought us a bbq down to use when we asked and surprised us with a lovely bottle of champagne on our final night, another successful trip and we are booked again for next year, you can’t have too much of a good thing :-)
