General Comments:
I was only able to fish Mon evening through to Fri morning due to other commitments. This meant that the Swims had already been chosen before I got there so I had little choice, however I did have ample water available to me thanks to Keiran and Alan for leaving me room. The weather was extremely hot and the water level very low which meant very little activity whilst I was there. The 2 fish I had were overnight during the passing storm, many thanks to Keiran Taylor who kindly braved the weather to take the photo's for me.

General Comments:
Had an enjoyable week although the weather was more suited to sunbathing than fishing, slightly concerned about the level of the water as it kept dropping throughout the week and was very low , due to this I believe the fish are more spooky/reluctant to feed. Regarding the depth between the 2 spits , there is plenty of water for the fish to move between the 2 halves of the lake however it probably does hinder there movements a lot more than if it was widened. Generally happy with the owners/facilities and lake and would consider returning when the water levels are higher (would have been nice to been told how low they were prior to turning up as on arrival we were informed by Sophie that this is the lowest the lake has been for 12 years). As from previous reports, in my opinion the lake is not over run by grass carp. This does not detract from an enjoyable week with several good fishing visiting the week.

General Comments:
This was our first trip to the venue and not knowing what was caught or how much bait was put in before we arrived we all fished singles / small bags for the 1st 24-36 hours therefore didn’t really get fishing properly until Sunday evening / Monday morning. Within a couple of days we could see a big difference between the 2 sides of the lake with the cabin side producing the majority of the fish. The shallows produced 5 fish between 2 anglers all week. A few people have commented in regards to the channel between the two spits and although the lakes is at its lowest for 12 years we believe that if the channel was deepened and the spit was reverted back to an island then this would improve the fishing all round. Bernards lack of English made it a bit hard to understand him etc but when his daughter arrived all was understood. Overall an enjoyable week with mixed weather from heavy thunder and lightning to bright blistering sunshine but a venue will are looking to return too. *Angling Lines note* Bernard has agreed to widen and deepen the gap between the two spits this winter once the season has finished. We hope that this will alleviate the problem with fish being reluctant to move between areas of the lake.

General Comments:
We have fished this water on a number of occasions as it provides us with a good opportunity to have a social fishing week, when fishing from the exposed spit. We are becoming a little concerned by the recently developed spit which has effectively cut the lake in two. The section between the two fishing areas can become very shallow and we do not feel that this encourages the fish to move between the two sides of the lake. Consequently, one can often tell what sort of week you are in for after the first 24-48 hours. Although we had 30+ fish, which is around our usual figure, all but 6 of these were caught from the cabin side and particularly from the deeper water in the far corner. Thus for the majority of our party it proved to be quite a difficult week with 4 anglers sharing 7 fish, whilst two anglers bagged around 30! Is the water becoming a little 'peggy' as a result of the second spit being developed? We think so! *Angling Lines note* Bernard has agreed to widen and deepen the gap between the two spits this winter once the season has finished. We hope that this will alleviate the problem with fish being reluctant to move between areas of the lake.
