YES...(very clean & tidy)

YES VERY....everything you need for a drive and survive package!!!

NO.......due to the water level being -5 feet it made the fishing very very hard..

YES...angling lines were great in arranging everything........Bernard and sophie were fantastic hosts

General Comments:

Overall the weather was poor and did not help with the fishing which was really hard......the water level was really low --5 feet which did not help!! ....the local shops which is a 20min drive away were great everything you need to get, the locals were really pleasant..........

28 fish in total, 4 cats to 66lb, 8 grass carp to 42lb,
16 carp to 41lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Particles seemed to work well but the fish were all bunched up in one area of the lake and did not move out for the whole week meaning one angler had a great week and the rest struggled.

Not so sure, this was our second visit to the lake and the fishing has deteriorated drastically.

General Comments:

I don't know what has spoilt the fishing, whether it was the fish kill or the lake changes but its a shame because Bernard and Sophie are great hosts and it is a lovely place to go fishing for a week. Maybe it will improve over the next couple of seasons.

Details of your catches:

Total of 21 fish caught, water level very low and found fishing very hard all week. Fished this venue 2 years ago and feel the loss of fish last year has had a huge impact on the venue!! Ricky did break the catfish record and grass carp record so he had a great week. Well done ricky.😊

All anglers fished boilies from A2 baits with some particles used. Most fish came from opposite side of lake from the facilities!!

Facilities were great and had everything that we needed.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very happy with all facilities.!!

No not at present, will keep an eye on catch reports and may return when the venue is back to its best.

Yes would definitely recommend angling lines, the service and booking process is so straight forward and always happy to help.

Facilities Basic but very clean & Tidy and much improved since previous visit.

General Comments:

This was our second visit to the lake having originally visited in 2009 and the fish have flourished during this time, the lake has changed with part of the margins having been dug out to increase the water depth, whilst this has improved the lake the island has been re-sculptured to be now joined up with the far bank and therefore create less of an area for the fish to migrate from one bay to the other, this has subsequently created 2 distinct bays (Opinion from our party was this has not improved the lake).

The weather all ways place a part in the fishing conditions perhaps more so in France than the U.K with the temperature variation being so extreme, however all of our party caught and we have booked again to return in 2017.
