We had 60 fish for 1750lbs. biggest carp 54.04, catch included 46lb, 41lbs 42lbs & 42lbs. The biggest catfish was 33lbs and we did this time have 11 doubles.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We were all using bait boats and all areas caught. We used plenty of parti mix &boilies ssmall spots and bait went out on the boat. All flavours, cell, smokey Mackeral, nutcracker and peach melba (which caught the 54lbs)on the same side as the facilites but on the tree line in the far corner. The lake dropped 5Ft whilst we were there. Started blisteringly hot at the first weekend but then mixed after that. We had a westerly wind, which Sophie says was the worst direction of wind there to have.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. brilliant for drive and survive you can't fault them.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, but thought the weights were down overall from last year.

Yes, definitely. We feel its a great venue and you would not be disappointed if it was your first visit. We having been before felt the weight were overall markedly down. The carp will grow on quickly again now but the virus clearly took a toll.

Yes. brilliant can't fault them. We had to make last minute changes and it was all sorted really well

35 runs (lost a few) which resulted in 26 carp to 45lbs biggest and included 11 x 30's. Only 8 carp were under 30lb. Due to other commitments we arrived Sunday and left Friday so fished 5 days. 2 anglers full time and 1 days only.

Fished over beds of bait, pop up and bottom baits both worked.

Yes, good as described, did the job.

Yes. Good lake, Sophie and Bernard are lovely and leave you to get on with it.

Yes, it's a good lake still but perhaps not the runs water it once was.

Shane had 12 including 2 cats up to 50 and biggest carp 36. Neil had 10 carp up to 40. Steve had 18 up to 40 and 4 x 30s. Mark had 24 fish 5 cats up to 74 and 19 carp up to 41. 2x40 10x30. Jamie had 7 carp 5 were high 20s and 1x30. Total amount of fish caught 71.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tactics were varied with some fish coming from a spread of boilies in open water and others coming from tight baiting close to some of the features. Most fish were caught on boilies but when a few cats started to be caught a couple of the lads changed to tigernut hook baits and this seemed to stop the cats and kept the carp coming. The wind paid a huge part in the fishing with anglers not getting takes for a day or 2 but then at times when it was in your area 2 people caught over 20 fish in daylight hours including a brace of 37 and 40 at the same time. So have confidence in your spots and be patient you will get your turn.

Great place to fish and you can still have a social when you have a night off the fishing.

Details of your catches:

37 fish . I caught 20 of which 15 were carp (I don't include grass carp) Simon had 15 fish of which 11 were carp. We had 3 x 40's biggest was 45lb 10oz. 9 x 30's. We also had Catfish of 74lb, 60lb and 50lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

It was raining and windy all week just 2 days with a bit of sunshine. I had to fish hard, and hinged stiff rig seemed to work best with a white or pink pop up. Fish followed the wind and we had some strong winds. Most carp came from the bay on the same side as facilities but on the far side of the spit. The cats all came from the bay directly in front of the facilities
