Unfortunately the temp had plummeted, from previous days on our arrival, this killed the fishing, all tactics were tried but it was slow going. Fished showed but not in feeding mood. Single hook baits/ minimum bait worked best.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Evrything you needed for a drive n survive trip.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very clean, but do agree with a previous entry that the shower was made for Ronnie Corbett. But not a major problem.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, but would not like to fish here with anymore than 4 anglers max. Although the water level we were told was at its lowest ever.

Yes, staff very helpfull.

General Comments:

You can plan everything, but not the weather. The French owner of this venue,is a truly nice man. His English is as bad as my French, but he could not do enough to make the trip a pleasent one for us.

45 Carp to 44lb 12oz (mostly mirrors) 6 Grass carp to 31lb 3 Catfish: 70lb+ (bottomed scales out!), 54lb & 23lb. Several Bream.

Spread of boile or boile & pellet on chosen spots. Mainline Cell & Hybrid Vortex Squid Livers

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. Better this year as the sink & hob had been upgraded and extra fridges added.

General Comments:

Sophie made us feel welcome & left us to get on with the fishing in great weather. Majority of the catches came to anglers fishing on the facilities side of the lake.

Details of your catches:

29 carp to 41lb (1 x 40, 14 x 30s, 13 x 20s, 1 x double) Mostly mirrors, 4 commons. 6 grassies to 35lb. 11 cats to 61lb. A few bream and quite a few lost fish. Mostly caught at night but were coming out at all times.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All on the boillie, cc Moore and mainline mostly, double bottom baits or snowman over big beds of boillie and pellet. Fish mostly coming out of the deeper water with cabin side of the spit more productive.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, all you need and expect from a drive and survive venue. Lots of freezer room. Hot showers but more suited to Ronnie Corbett sized chaps.

General Comments:

Bernard the owner and his daughter Sophie made us feel very welcome and was a perfect host. Easy to find venue, good supermarket near by and a bakery in the village.

Details of your catches:

17 mirrors largest 45lbs, 5 grass carp largest 33lbs. Caught the same catfish twice, weighed it on first day was 80lb, caught it again the next morning its belly was nearly bursting from all the boilies in it.

I fished pop ups bottom baits and I used eclipse baits virus. When I dipped hookbaits in virus glugs takes came much quicker.

General Comments:

Due to family issues I only fished 3 days and went home. I used only boilies and 10kgs per day. I would like to thank the angling lines team for all their help and for getting me home promptly.
