Details of your catches:

Shane had 12 including 2 cats up to 50 and biggest carp 36. Neil had 10 carp up to 40. Steve had 18 up to 40 and 4 x 30s. Mark had 24 fish 5 cats up to 74 and 19 carp up to 41. 2x40 10x30. Jamie had 7 carp 5 were high 20s and 1x30. Total amount of fish caught 71.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tactics were varied with some fish coming from a spread of boilies in open water and others coming from tight baiting close to some of the features.

Most fish were caught on boilies but when a few cats started to be caught a couple of the lads changed to tigernut hook baits and this seemed to stop the cats and kept the carp coming.

The wind paid a huge part in the fishing with anglers not getting takes for a day or 2 but then at times when it was in your area 2 people caught over 20 fish in daylight hours including a brace of 37 and 40 at the same time.

So have confidence in your spots and be patient you will get your turn.

Details of your catches:

37 fish . I caught 20 of which 15 were carp (I don't include grass carp) Simon had 15 fish of which 11 were carp. We had 3 x 40's biggest was 45lb 10oz. 9 x 30's. We also had Catfish of 74lb, 60lb and 50lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

It was raining and windy all week just 2 days with a bit of sunshine. I had to fish hard, and hinged stiff rig seemed to work best with a white or pink pop up. Fish followed the wind and we had some strong winds. Most carp came from the bay on the same side as facilities but on the far side of the spit. The cats all came from the bay directly in front of the facilities

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. perfect as before

Were you happy with them?

Yes.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, but not probably as a runs water

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes, definitely. Great service

General Comments:

Bernard and Sophie were welcoming as always and mostly leave you to get on with it. Which is great!.

General Comments:

Our catch rate was down on last year however this may have been due to the bitterly cold east wind with frosts most nights rather than the fish numbers down due to the virus the last year, only time will tell all the fish we caught all appeared healthy.

Nick Adams caught the large catfish at 83 lb which Bernard verified as a new lake record and in true Beaurepaire tradition Nick ignored the bitterly cold wind took his kit off and streaked down the bank. Bernard asked us all back to his house and rewarded Nick with a bottle of champagne, what a nice guy Bernard is! But you do need his daughter Sophie as a translator.

Not for a runs water which this is advertised as being. In our opinion has lost too many fish.

General Comments:

Weather lovely and hot to mid 20's so expected fish to be feeding. However, fishing disappointing and very hard. Barely any fish showed until Wednesday onwards and then was very tough fishing. We covered the whole lake between us and the only place fish came from was fishing up against the spit island which was under water. Also 2 dead mirror carp surfaced while there which had been dead a long time!!

Angling Lines Note: Whilst daytime temperatures have been good the night time temps have still been very cold, we genuinely believe this is a slow start due to water temperatures. Towards the end of last season and after the virus we had some big catches at the lake (as you can see on feedback) therefore we do not believe the slow fishing is down to stock levels. Regarding the fish found, as the water warms up around now you find any dead fish pop up from the bottom, so we nor the owners find this unusual for the time of year.
