General Comments:

Mr Cousins & family very nice people, English can be a slight problem. Would be nice if an extension lead could be provided with English plug sockets, lack of power points for charging up batteries. Look forward to booking 2010 holiday.

We had 70 fish out which indluded a 33lb mirror, 1 x 32lb cat , 30 different 20's and the rest were all between 14 and 20lb. We had 6 cats, 8 grass carp and the rest were all mirrors. All fish were in great condition and fought well

Boating particle to far bank and fishing maize, tiger nuts and peanuts over it

General Comments:

The guy who runs it is a lovely guy. The lake is full of fish all in good condition.

Tried boillies but no takes so went on to stick mixes with tuna/blitz ground bait. Hook bait was maize. Got all fish on maize except 1 catfish on boillie.

General Comments:

Caught nothing first 3 days tried all round the lake, so changed to particle spod mixes with maize on hook and started catching straight away. Venue was very clean and Mr Cousins the owner went out of his way to help us even though he can't speak english and we dont speak french. He's a real gent.

Carp never really got feeding and we stalked successfully as we had the lake to ourselves.Every night we had a catfish on various boilies over baited area.Many fish, mostly characteristic catfish runs, lost in submerged vegetation.

General Comments:

The lake level fell a further foot whilst we were there meaning there was a peninsula and an island. The lake was actually quite beautiful at this level and many carp were visible patrolling the surface during the scorching heat. Mn Cousins had the toilet sectioned off from the kitchen while we were there, much improving the hygiene of the facilities but the freezer was faulty so do not take bait that needs to be frozen. Thanks to angling lines for their generosity to compensate for the disaster we had last year. We want to come back and try to conquer this lake as we really did not get the carp going at all!
